It is open from Monday to Saturday but is unavailable between 1 pm to 2 pm. It also does not have a second location, which may be a problem for those who live outside the Central region.

This clinic is led by Dr. Liew Woei Kang, who has over 15 years of clinical experience. He is also the President of the Allergy Clinical Immunology Society of Singapore.

Dr. Liew specializes in juvenile idiopathic arthritis, disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs, and immunosuppressants. The latter is used as an antirejection medicine for those who have recently received an organ transplant.

Before starting his own clinic, he was a consultant pediatrician in the allergy and rheumatology service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Liew is the founding pediatric immunology specialist and continues to be a visiting senior consultant of the aforementioned hospital.

What we like about this clinic is that Dr. Liew is able to work with children because of his pediatric background. His ability to work with the young and old makes this place an excellent choice for those who need a family rheumatologist.

Other than rheumatology and pediatric care, this medical establishment also tackles allergy disorders and immunology ailments.

The patients we interviewed loved Dr. Liew’s patience and gentleness with their children during consultations and treatments. He works meticulously with clients to create plans on how to manage and prevent ailments at home.

Leong Keng Hong Arthritis & Medical Clinic is found inside the Gleneagles Hospital, which is just next to the S’pore Botanic Gardens bus stop.

It’s available from Monday to Saturday. However, it is unavailable for long hours on weekdays between 12 pm to 2 pm and closes very early at 4 pm.

This clinic also does not have a second branch around the island, which makes it difficult to reach for interested parties living outside the Tanglin Planning Area.

Two expert rheumatologists spearhead this medical establishment.

Dr. Leong Keng Hong has over 20 years of clinical experience and is the founder of Singapore’s Osteoporosis Society in 1996, and served as its President until 2004.

He is also the Associate Dean of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore.

Dr. Leong specializes in autoimmune diseases like arthritis and degenerative diseases such as gout and ankylosing spondylitis, more commonly known as spine fusion.

Dr. Anita Lim is a rheumatologist with over 17 years of experience in the field. She is also a skilled internal medicine doctor, which complements her practice of rheumatology.

The clinic treats a variety of illnesses from arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome, gout, and lupus, to name a few.

Overall, it is a great destination for anyone suffering from autoimmune disorders or other types of arthritis as it treats and manages all of them.

When we talked to clients, they commented on Dr. Leong’s commitment to each patient. For instance, a person who was dealing with lupus while being pregnant was closely monitored and treated carefully based on her condition.

Dr. Leong and his team were helping her from diagnosis up until the day she delivered the baby.

Others also said that apart from being a knowledgeable rheumatologist, he is a patient and humble specialist who genuinely cares about his clients.

The patients who knew nothing about their condition or their test results received proper guidance. The doctors explained them in detail during each consultation.

Perhaps the only negative comments we received concern the long queues and waiting time for appointments. Nevertheless, Leong Keng Hong Arthritis & Medical delivers results and provides the utmost care.

It does not have a second branch. However, it is open from Monday to Saturday with consistent operating hours.

This clinic closes very early compared to other entries on this list.

What we like about this place is that apart from treating autoimmune-related arthritis, it also deals with a wide range of joint pain and stiffness, muscular weakness, and blood disorders like low platelet count.

It aims to diagnose these issues and treat them into remission before they develop into a much more serious case.

This medical establishment is headed by Dr. Lui Nai Lee, who specializes in rheumatological conditions and complex autoimmune diseases.

He has over 20 years of clinical experience and is a member of the Assessment of Spondyloarthritis International Society. That being said, he is the ideal choice if you are suffering from autoimmune disorders.

For clients who are suffering from joint arthritis, Dr. Lui offers joint aspiration services where he’ll be using a needle to apply lignocaine to reduce inflammation directly to the area for immediate relief.

The patients we interviewed spoke highly of Dr. Lui. He is the type to ensure every detail is understood by his clients and takes the time to listen to follow-up inquiries.

We’re delighted to hear that he goes the extra mile to simplify medical concepts so that his patients can be comfortable receiving the best treatment possible.

The ARC is situated inside the Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Center. It’s a 6-minute stroll from the Bef Novena Stn Exit B bus stop.

It doesn’t have another branch open but has straightforward business hours from 9 am to 5 pm.

However, it is closed on the weekends — bad news for busy bees who prefers weekend appointments. If that is your preference, please check out other entities on this list.

This clinic is led by a well-renowned rheumatologist, Dr. Sheila Vasoo, who has more than 20 years of clinical experience.

She treats various conditions, from arthritis, soft-tissue rheumatism, and osteoporosis to complex rheumatic diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic vasculitis, scleroderma, and antiphospholipid syndrome.

She is also responsible for establishing national clinical practice guidelines on the management of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

The clinic offers services for psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory myopathy, and gout, to mention a few. However, this place is more known for evaluating and managing joint or soft tissue pain.

When we talked to previous clients, they all mentioned Dr. Sheila’s expertise in managing pains through detailed assessments. These take time, however, the doctor’s friendly demeanor makes the time fly.

She asks insightful questions that help narrow down root causes and acts accordingly by either prescribing the necessary medicine or treatment.

The only downside we gathered is about the clinic’s staff who can be quite rude, especially during phone inquiries. Some also claimed that they waited long to receive replies about appointments.

  • Doctor has more than 20 years of clinical experience

There is also a second branch that is found in Novena, along 38 Irrawaddy Road. This is excellent news for those who reside near the Central Business District.

The clinic is open from Monday to Saturday with regular yet consistent operating hours.

ELIM Rheumatic Center’s head physician and rheumatologist, Dr. Eugene Lim, has more than 25 years of clinical experience. He is also a certified interventional pain sonologist by the World Institute of Pain.

Dr. Eugene has vast experience in conditions such as osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, and lupus. That being said, he is the best choice for pain management.

If you have been suffering from nagging pains from the ailments we mentioned earlier, we highly recommend going here.

What separates this clinic from the rest is its use of the most advanced 3D ultrasound imaging technology that can provide insightful information about the pain you are experiencing.

With this procedure, diagnosing ailments is much more precise, meaning you can immediately target the issue before it gets any more severe.

The patients we interviewed were thankful for Dr. Eugene’s quick assessments and thorough procedures. We noticed that many clients mentioned that he really works fast in tackling their conditions.

Individuals claimed that they received prompt care and quickly controlled their ailments after receiving the necessary medicine or procedure from Dr. Eugene.

They also liked that he does not push for taking other tests, which helps keep the costs down.

However, if you are the type of person who wants specific testing before taking a leap on medications or other treatments, then you might not like this doctor’s medical approach.

Nevertheless, ELIM is an ideal destination for anyone who wants to get rid of discomfort and pain immediately.

The only negative experience we gathered about this clinic is its staff, specifically the receptionist. Many claimed that he works slowly, particularly in giving out documents and clinic fees.
