Pros
- Comprehensive range of services
- Has three urologists on board
- Has three branches in Singapore
- Offers teleconsultation services
Cons
- No regular shifting schedule for urologists
Dr. Tricia Kuo is one of the three globally trained urologists on board the Urohealth Medical Clinic. Notably, it is one of the few clinics in Singapore that handles both urological and sexual health concerns.
We recommend Dr. Tricia Kuo to patients more likely to be comfortable with a female doctor examining them.
What we like about Dr. Tricia Kuo is that she’s one of the few accredited female urologists in Singapore. Furthermore, she’s one of the few doctors specialising in paediatric urology care.
On the whole, we believe Dr. Tricia Kuo the ideal option for female patients and children.
For surgical procedures, we advise checking with your health insurance provider first to verify if your policy covers her services.
Urohealth Medical Clinic is a private clinic, so its fees can get steep. If your insurance provider lists it as a panel for health care, it could make the costs more affordable.
Another thing we like about Urohealth Medical Clinic is that it has three branches across Singapore, so you can choose to visit the one nearer to you.
Although, you can also opt for teleconsultation to save travelling time. The fee for virtual consultation is no different than an in-person checkup, so you don’t need to worry about extra charges.
On the downside, Urohealth Medical Clinic doesn’t have a regular shifting schedule for its urologists. We suggest making an appointment ahead to inquire about Dr. Tricia Kuo’s availability.
If Dr Tricia Kuo is unavailable, you can still consult with the other two urologists.
The first is Dr. Tan Yung Khan, the Medical Director of Urohealth Medical Clinic. The other is Dr. Tan Teck Wei, an executive committee member of the Singapore Urological Association (SUA).
Both of them are experts on men’s health, and they also specialise in robotic and minimally invasive procedures.
On the downside, we can’t recommend alternative options for female patients since Drs. Tan Yung Khan and Tan Teck Wei are focused on treating males.

Pros
- Two expert urologists on board
- Offers teleconsultation services
- Offers medication delivery
- Convenient scheduling process
Cons
- Expensive medicine delivery rates
- Doesn’t accept walk-ins
Ran by a father-and-son tandem with over 45 years of combined experience, Tan Urology is a good choice for treating conditions related to men’s health.
Most of their patients are handled by the son, Dr. Lincoln Tan, who often appears on media platforms to discuss prostate cancer.
If you book an appointment with Tan Urology, Dr. Lincoln will most likely be the one to attend to you. If you need to see Dr. Robert, you will have to request him.
But don’t worry — there aren’t many differences between them. From what we’ve gathered from patients, both doctors are thorough and attentive in their work.
So no matter your preference, you can expect the same level of expertise.
Another thing we like about Tan Urology is that it offers both teleconsultation and delivery services.
If you have a prescription after your virtual appointment, Tan Urology can deliver your medications to your doorstep. Although we’d like to caution you of the hefty delivery fees for this option.
Nonetheless, we give it bonus points for the convenience it provides patients.
On the downside, Tan Urology doesn’t accept walk-in clients. It follows a strict by-appointment-only rule, so we suggest you head to its website and check its calendar for availability if want an in-person consultation.

Pros
- Accredited specialist in urology
- Wide network of surgical facilities
- Has dedicated facilities for pelvic floor dysfunction procedures and rehabilitation
- Ideal for both male and female patients
Cons
- Rescheduling appointments may be difficult
Another good option for female patients is acclaimed urologist Dr. Pearllyn Quek, the namesake of Pearllyn Quek Urology & Bladder Control Center.
Being one of the first two female urologists accredited as a specialist in Singapore, we believe you can trust no other woman in the field more than her.
What we like best about Pearllyn Quek Urology & Bladder Control Center is its comprehensive services for urological concerns. The facility and its doctors are equipped to handle issues such as tumours, kidney and bladder cancers, and sexual dysfunction for men.
Furthermore, we appreciate its connections with several surgical centres in Singapore. This affiliation makes it convenient for patients to choose a facility they want to stay in when recovering from surgery.
But, if we were to name this Dr. Quek’s strongest suit, it would be her specialty in pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Moreover, we appreciate that the clinic has dedicated staff to supervise behavioural training and rehabilitation programs for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.
But while we raved about Dr. Quek being ideal for female patients, she specialises in general urology, which means male patients wouldn’t have issues consulting with her.
However, with Dr. Quek’s practice being in-demand, rescheduling appointments with her might be tricky.
So before you book an appointment, we suggest you choose a schedule you’re a hundred per cent certain of.
4. Dr. Poh Beow Kong – BK Poh Urology Centre

Pros
- Specialises in surgical procedures
- Has high-end equipment
- Has expertise in minimally invasive surgery and advanced techniques
- Can accommodate last-minute appointments
- Has two accessible branches
- Affiliated with three private hospitals
Cons
- Last-minute appointments have higher rates
If you’re looking for a specialist for your urological issues, Dr. Poh Beow Kong is the man for the job. After all, minimally invasive procedures are his specialty.
As such, BK Poh Urology has cutting-edge tools for surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted equipment specially used in prostatectomy and kidney tumour removal.
What we appreciate most about Dr. Poh Beow Kong is how his surgical speciality provides the best clinical outcome without demanding heavy sacrifices from his patients.
Even if your condition is drastic, Dr. Poh Beow Kong can adopt organ-sparing techniques without compromising the procedure’s efficacy.
We also like how the consultant team at BK Poh Urology can arrange last-minute appointments for its patients. They have been known to accept bookings even on Saturdays when most clinics typically have limited operating hours.
Although, of course, last-minute appointments would equate to extra charges.
Nevertheless, BK Poh Urology still meets our standards of an excellent clinic whose pros outweigh its cons, especially in accessibility.
For one, Dr. Poh has admitting privileges to three private hospitals. These affiliations give his patients options to choose a health facility where they will get treated and afterwards recuperate.
Furthermore, BK Poh Urology has clinics in Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialists Centre, so you can choose whichever is nearest to your location.
All in all, we understand why Dr. Poh Beow Kong is a household name in urological care. We happily second the recommendations pointing to his clinic as the first choice for urological surgery.

Pros
- Exhaustive attention to men’s health and urological care
- 24-hour hotline available
- Can cater to emergencies
- Multi-language service, available for expatriate and international assistance
- Affiliated with five private hospitals
Cons
- Staff can improve their attitude
S H Ho Urology and Laparoscopy Centre is another clinic that offers one-stop urological care for men.
What stands out about this clinic is the convenience it provides patients. For one, its resident urologist, Dr. Ho Siew Hong, is fluent in four languages — English, Malay, Bahasa, and Chinese.
This allows Dr. Ho Siew Hong to extend his services to international patients, which we value deeply in a clinic located in a cultural hubbub like Singapore.
We also like that S H Ho Urology and Laparoscopy Centre has a 24-hour hotline that patients can contact in case of emergencies.
Furthermore, Dr. Ho Siew Hong readily responds to emergency calls beyond operating hours – a plus in our books!
Additionally, Dr. Ho Siew Hong has admitting privileges to five different health facilities. We like this aspect because wouldn’t have to worry about limited surgery locations should you need them.
Not that you’ll have to be admitted for long after surgery – Dr. Ho Siew Hong specialises in minimally invasive surgical procedures. Notably, laparoscopic and laser surgeries often translate into faster recovery times.
Another thing we’d like to highlight about Dr. Ho Siew Hong’s clinic is how it offers specialised therapy for men’s health, especially for hormonal replacements.
Overall, S H Ho Urology and Laparoscopy Centre is one of the best clinics for men’s health in Singapore Although, we still recommend Dr. Ho for women with urological concerns since we find his vast experience reliable.
