Ran by a father-and-son tandem with over 45 years of combined experience, Tan Urology is a good choice for treating conditions related to men’s health.

Most of their patients are handled by the son, Dr. Lincoln Tan, who often appears on media platforms to discuss prostate cancer.

If you book an appointment with Tan Urology, Dr. Lincoln will most likely be the one to attend to you. If you need to see Dr. Robert, you will have to request him. 

But don’t worry — there aren’t many differences between them. From what we’ve gathered from patients, both doctors are thorough and attentive in their work.

So no matter your preference, you can expect the same level of expertise.

Another thing we like about Tan Urology is that it offers both teleconsultation and delivery services.

If you have a prescription after your virtual appointment, Tan Urology can deliver your medications to your doorstep. Although we’d like to caution you of the hefty delivery fees for this option.

Nonetheless, we give it bonus points for the convenience it provides patients. 

On the downside, Tan Urology doesn’t accept walk-in clients. It follows a strict by-appointment-only rule, so we suggest you head to its website and check its calendar for availability if want an in-person consultation.

Another good option for female patients is acclaimed urologist Dr. Pearllyn Quek, the namesake of Pearllyn Quek Urology & Bladder Control Center.

Being one of the first two female urologists accredited as a specialist in Singapore, we believe you can trust no other woman in the field more than her.

What we like best about Pearllyn Quek Urology & Bladder Control Center is its comprehensive services for urological concerns. The facility and its doctors are equipped to handle issues such as tumours, kidney and bladder cancers, and sexual dysfunction for men.

Furthermore, we appreciate its connections with several surgical centres in Singapore. This affiliation makes it convenient for patients to choose a facility they want to stay in when recovering from surgery.

But, if we were to name this Dr. Quek’s strongest suit, it would be her specialty in pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Moreover, we appreciate that the clinic has dedicated staff to supervise behavioural training and rehabilitation programs for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.

But while we raved about Dr. Quek being ideal for female patients, she specialises in general urology, which means male patients wouldn’t have issues consulting with her.

However, with Dr. Quek’s practice being in-demand, rescheduling appointments with her might be tricky. 

So before you book an appointment, we suggest you choose a schedule you’re a hundred per cent certain of.

If you’re looking for a specialist for your urological issues, Dr. Poh Beow Kong is the man for the job. After all, minimally invasive procedures are his specialty.

As such, BK Poh Urology has cutting-edge tools for surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted equipment specially used in prostatectomy and kidney tumour removal.

What we appreciate most about Dr. Poh Beow Kong is how his surgical speciality provides the best clinical outcome without demanding heavy sacrifices from his patients.

What stands out about this clinic is the convenience it provides patients. For one, its resident urologist, Dr. Ho Siew Hong, is fluent in four languages — English, Malay, Bahasa, and Chinese.

Overall, S H Ho Urology and Laparoscopy Centre is one of the best clinics for men’s health in Singapore Although, we still recommend Dr. Ho for women with urological concerns since we find his vast experience reliable.
