Top 5 Hotdesking Spots in Singapore That’ll Make Work Feel Less Like Work

I started hotdesking in Singapore out of pure necessity. Back then, I was juggling remote work and freelance projects from home, and it got chaotic fast.

My dining table turned into a cluttered workspace, my back started aching from sitting too long, and the line between work and rest disappeared completely.

I missed having a proper desk, quiet surroundings, and that motivation that comes from seeing other people actually getting things done.

One day, a friend invited me to work with her at a coworking space. I figured I’d give it a try, and I ended up staying the whole day.

I found myself focusing for hours without distractions. That first experience sold me on the idea. Since then, I’ve explored a few different spaces around the city, each with its own little charm.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday – 8:30 AM to 6 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday – Closed

JustCo has been around since 2011, and it’s one of the coolest coworking and hotdesking spaces I’ve seen in Singapore.

They started as a flexible workspace provider and have since grown all across the Asia-Pacific, with over 40 centres in different cities.

Their hot desk membership, priced at around $398 a month, gives you access to all the essentials you’d expect from a premium workspace: ergonomic chairs, plenty of power outlets, high-speed Wi-Fi, printing facilities, and even a stocked pantry and snack area.

I’m a fan of their sleek furnishings—the space feels professional enough to keep you focused but still comfy and inviting to spend the day in.

They’re also big on community, holding events and networking sessions to help people connect.

Pro Tip:

Make sure to check how many free hours are included in hot desk plans, since they may include a certain number of meeting room credits or access. Beyond that, you’ll incur additional fees.

2. The Great Room

Address: 2 Tanjong Katong Road #05-01, #3 Paya Lebar Quarter

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 6 PM

If you want a space that feels a little more grown-up, The Great Room is a good pick.

When I dropped by, the space was calm but still lively! It’s like a kind of place where people actually look forward to working.

The Wi-Fi’s fast, the air-con’s just right, and the workstations are comfy enough to sit at all day. If you need privacy, there are phone booths and meeting rooms that feel more like mini boardrooms than cubicles.

I also love that they serve proper coffee and tea in the pantry, and the staff is always ready to help. You can even get a day pass if you just want to test it out.

Pro Tip:

Dress in business casual, you’ll blend in better (and feel more confident).

3. WeWork

Address: 15 Beach Road

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 6 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday – Closed

WeWork remains one of the most recognisable names in flexible workspaces worldwide, and their reputation definitely precedes them.

Each branch has its own character, incorporating local art and design touches that make the space more like a creative studio than an office.

What I like is how they’ve built a real sense of community. Beyond the shared desks and meeting areas, members can join events, collaborate with other teams, or simply meet new people over coffee in the lounge.

The space covers all the common perks, too, like fast Wi-Fi and printing areas. There are even wellness or parent rooms for when you need a quick break from work.

You can just grab a Day Pass if you want to pop in, or go for a Dedicated Desk if you prefer having a consistent spot to settle into.

Pro Tip:

Do your bookings through the app; it’s the easiest way to find hot desks on the go.

4. The Hive

Address: 1 Kallang Jct, Level 6 Vanguard Campus

Phone: +65 6291 7861

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday – 8 AM to 6 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday – Closed

The Hive is easily one of the more creative coworking spaces I’ve come across in Singapore. Founded by Constant Tedder (the same guy who helped develop RuneScape), it carries that same spirit of innovation and community.

You can really feel that energy when you walk in; you’ll find lots of digital creators, startups, and freelancers who enjoy a bit of flexibility in how they work.

The space itself is fully furnished and comes with open lounges where people actually hang out and chat between tasks. But you’ll see more patrons around the cafe and pantry for quick coffee breaks.

I’ve heard of the community gatherings, which I thought were a great way to meet others who work in the same creative and entrepreneurial circles.

They’re also one of the few places that offer a no-strings-attached trial, plus flexible options like day passes and part-time desks.

Pro Tip:

Make use of their printing credits. Printing beyond the free quota can be pricey.

5. The Work Project

Address: 6A Shenton Wy, Level 04-01 Downtown Gallery

Phone: +65 6914 9899

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 6 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday – Closed

The Work Project isn’t your average coworking space—it feels more like stepping into a hotel than an office.

Everything here has that refined, polished look, from the lighting to the furniture, so trust me, you’ll want to take a few photos when you visit.

The attention to design isn’t just for show, though. It’s meant to create a calm atmosphere that makes getting work done actually enjoyable.

Beyond the aesthetics, The Work Project has everything you need for a productive day. There are hot desks, meeting rooms, event spaces, and lounges that are perfect for quick breaks or casual meetings.

There’s even an outdoor terrace where you can step out and get some fresh air.

Pro Tip:

If you’re new, start with Deskimo’s pay-by-minute option to test the vibe before committing to a monthly plan.
