Top 9 Outdoor Restaurants in Singapore That Made Us Enjoy the Fresh Air

There were so many nights after work when my coworkers and I just wanted a nice dinner together. Though every time we stepped into a restaurant, it was either packed to the brim or had outdoor seating that made us second-guess our life choices.

You know the type—tables squished together, people brushing past your chair every five seconds, and humid heat that makes your iced drink sweat more than you.

We’ve been working together since day one, so we made a little pact to start spending time outside the office—and that meant finding al fresco spots that weren’t just an afterthought.

And guess what? We found some that really nailed it. Great food, comfortable spaces, and yes, actual airflow. So if you’re looking for outdoor restaurants in Singapore that don’t feel like punishment, here’s our list of favourites.

1. Chapters by Drinks&Co.

Website: http://drinksandco.asia/

Address: 3D River Valley Road, #01-08 Clarke Quay

Phone: +65 9619 4568

Hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday – 11 AM to 1 AM
  • Friday to Saturday — 11 AM to 2 AM

Must-order: Lamb Skewers

Chapters was started by two friends who left the corporate world to focus on what they truly loved—good booze and even better vibes. They aimed to bring their philosophy to life in every corner.

That means you won’t find pretentious wine lists here. Just The Shelf, an entire wall lined with alcohol!

For the food itself, we found that their Mushroom Truffle Pizza is a must—savoury, earthy, and perfect for sharing over a round of Singapore Slings.

We also tried their Lamb Skewers, which were juicy and nicely seasoned, though the portion felt a bit small for the price.

Still, paired with a Cold White Wine and the riverside breeze, it was pretty enjoyable.

So was the service; they were genuinely friendly, which didn’t make lingering for hours awkward.

Pro Tip: Sign up for their mailing list to stay updated on promos and special offers.

2. Super Loco Robertson Quay

Website: http://www.super-loco.com/robertsonquay/

Address: 60 Robertson Quay, #01-13 The Quayside

Phone: +65 9815 7221

Hours:

  • Monday – 5 PM to 11 PM
  • Tuesday to Thursday – 11:30 AM to 11 PM
  • Friday – 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM
  • Saturday – 10 AM to 11:30 PM
  • Sunday – 10 AM to 11 PM

Must-order: Prawn Tacos

Found just across the river from Clarke Quay’s chaos, Super Loco at Robertson Quay gives you a calmer backdrop for your meal, far enough away from the crowds.

The restaurant opens up to the water, with fans spinning overhead and bright blue walls catching the morning light. It’s a proper brunch spot with lots of shade to keep the heat off.

I’d personally say that their take on Mexican food feels anything but lazy. The Roasted Cauliflower surprised me; it was so nutty, tangy, and spicy all at once.

I’d even go back just for the Prawn Tacos. That combo of cilantro prawns and pomegranate is unexpected but works. But a friend of mine swears by the Crab Tostadas, though I found them a bit too spicy after a few bites.

Pro Tip: Swing by on Tuesday for their Bottomless Taco Tuesday deal!

3. Miska Cafe

Website: http://www.miskacafe.com/

Address: 31 Ocean Way, #01-07, Quayside Isle

Phone: +65 6339 0903

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, except Wednesday – 10 AM to 8:30 PM
  • Wednesday – Closed
  • Saturday and Sunday – 10 AM to 9:30 PM

Must-order: Nutella Waffle

At Miska Café, the sand, sea breeze, and sunset views do a lot of the heavy lifting, but the food holds its own.

I found myself clearing the plate when we ordered the Cargrilled Mix Seafood Platter.

It had almost everything I wanted: salmon, squid, prawns, and mussels, which arrived with crispy wedges and a side salad! If this weren’t meant for sharing, I’d down it all in a second.

For a Mediterranean place, they also do a surprisingly great Nutella Waffle. It was slightly crisp on the outside with just the right amount of drizzle.

It’s not fancy, but the main point of Miska is to help you relax, ease in, and enjoy the food. And with the yachts bobbing just a few meters away, that’s exactly what my buddies and I did.

Pro Tip: Come right when they open to avoid the lunch or dinner crowd.

4. Bee’s Knees at The Garage

Website: https://www.beesknees.sg/

Address: Cluny Park Road, Level 1 The Garage

Phone: +65 9815 3213

Hours: Daily – 8 AM to 10 PM

Must-order: Ham Eggs Benedict

Bee’s Knees sits inside a heritage building at the beautiful Singapore Botanic Gardens, and trust me, it’s going to feel more like a retreat than a restaurant.

Surrounded by thick greenery and open lawns, it’s ideal for lazy weekend brunches with family or an unhurried breakfast after a morning stroll.

In this hive, the food is more of familiar comfort dishes with small Southeast Asian touches. I got one of their signature dishes: the Ham Eggs Benedict with its thick-cut, juicy ham paired with soft buns and runny eggs.

As for my buddies, they ordered the Laksa Prawn Pasta, which has some spice, with linguine, cherry tomatoes, and plump prawns tossed in a light but punchy sauce.

By the end of the day, you’ll find that Bee’s Knees turns their area into a Moon-Lite Dinner where you can treat yourself (and maybe a date) to a specially curated dinner set.

Pro Tip: Bring a hand fan. It can get pretty warm dining here.

5. Open Farm Community

Website: http://www.openfarmcommunity.com/

Address: 130E Minden Road

Phone: +65 6471 0306

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday – 12 PM to 3 PM; 6 PM to 11 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday – 11 AM to 3:30 PM; 6 PM to 11 PM

Must-order: Barramundi

At a time when my friends decided to protest against fast food and forgettable dining, we opted for Open Farm Community.

You’ll see that the farm surrounds the dining space, and depending on where you’re seated, you might spot herbs growing in the planter boxes, a vegetable patch, or even kids playing near the orchard.

Open Farm boasts about using ingredients straight from their harvests, and we were able to taste that kind of freshness in their dishes! Just like the buttery fish meal, Barramundi, which is served over a silky celeriac purée.

And if you see the Mango Trifle on the menu, don’t skip it—we tasted its tart-sweet finish that made us wish we could take home the fluffy whipped cream alone!

Pro Tip: Pack an extra bag in case you want to purchase some produce to take home.

6. CÉ LA VI at Marina Bay Sands

Website: https://www.celavi.com/en/singapore/?

Address: 1 Bayfront Avenue Marina Bay Sands, Hotel, Tower 3

Phone: +65 6508 2188

Hours: Daily – 11 AM to 4 AM

Must-order: Tropical Mango

Sitting on top of Marina Bay Sands, CÉ LA VI gives you the full skyline, especially nice around sunset when everything looks a little extra polished.

It’s not stuffy, though. There’s a bar, a lounge, a restaurant, and depending on where you sit, you’ll either be in the mood to hang out for hours or just stay for one drink and snap a few photos.

To enter, it can cost around $30–35, but it goes towards your order, so if you’re planning to eat or drink anyway, it’s not a big deal.

I went with a classic Singapore Sling, and it was done really well—not too sweet, not too strong.

The others tried the Tropical Mango dessert and licked it down to its bowl. I’m not surprised since it had some delicious coconut ice cream, glutinous rice, and crispy bits—basically a fancier, more layered take on the usual mango sticky rice.

Pro Tip: Pre-game before you arrive because the bill can rack up quite easily!

7. Abriza Rooftop Restaurant

Media credit: @abrizasg

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abrizasg

Website: http://lounge.oddle.me/abrizasg

Address: 32 Tras Street, Level 4 ST Signature

Phone: +65 9062 4129

Hours: Daily – 5 PM to 12 AM

Must-order: Cool Summer Cocktail

In the Abriza Rooftop Bar, you’ll be lounging under string lights with a drink in hand. The vibe’s laidback, especially on Sundays when things are slower, and the house music adds a nice background buzz.

But the real reason people come here is their cocktails—especially the Lychee Tini, which is more floral and refreshing without going overboard on sweetness.

The Cool Summer’s another favourite of ours. It’s got a light mix of mint, lychee, and ginger ale that goes down easily, especially in the heat.

Pair it with their Truffle Fries (crispy, rich, and actually worth the hype) or the Artichoke Nuggets, which are crunchy on the outside and creamy inside.

Pro Tip: Drop by between 5 to 7 PM from Sunday to Thursday for happy hour and oyster nights (Monday to Wednesday).

8. Burnt Ends at The Dempsey Hill

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/burntends.sg/?hl=en

Website: https://burntends.com.sg/

Address: 7 Dempsey Road, #01-02

Phone: +65 6224 3933

Hours:

  • Sunday and Monday – Closed
  • Tuesday and Wednesday – 6 PM to 11 PM
  • Thursday to Saturday – 12 PM to 2:30 PM; 6 PM to 11 PM

Must-order: Bone Marrow Bun

Burnt Ends at Dempsey Hill isn’t just about steak—it’s about the whole fire-driven experience. We walked in and immediately felt the heat from the open kitchen’s glowing charcoal grill, and from the buzzing energy in the room.

The setup lets you watch the chefs work the flames, which adds a bit of theatre to the meal (great if you’ve got curious kids or foodie friends in tow).

It’s definitely a splurge, but the food hits that sweet spot between smoky and rich. Their Dry-Aged Steak lives up to the hype—perfectly charred outside, tender inside, with a depth of flavour that only comes from slow, controlled cooking.

And I just loved the Bone Marrow Bun. It is ridiculously good—soft, buttery, and soaked in savoury marrow without all the grease.

To top it all off, we had the Smoked Negroni, which was intense and well-balanced, with that subtle campfire aroma.

Pro Tip: Book your table at least a month ahead to secure a spot!

9. Wildseed Cafe & Bar

Media credit: @wildseedsg

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wildseedsg/

Website: https://www.wildseedcafe.sg/the-summerhouse

Address: 3 Park Lane, Level 1A Seletar Aerospace Drive

Phone: +65 8126 7524

Hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday – 8 AM to 4:30 PM; 5 PM to 11 PM
  • Friday and Saturday – 8 AM to 4:30 PM; 5 PM to 12 AM

Must-order: Wagyu Beef Burger

Wildseed Café at The Alkaff Mansion has a garden charm with chill dining in one of Singapore’s prettiest heritage spots.

Tucked into a colonial-era building, this café is surrounded by leafy views and flower-lined paths, making it feel like a garden picnic with proper chairs and air-conditioning.

It’s a place where you can ease into your morning with a mocktail like Sun-Kissed—pineapple, mango, and thyme—served icy cold and surprisingly balanced.

When it comes to food, their Wagyu Beef Burger (wagyu patty, cheddar, truffle mayo, and golden abalone mushrooms) lives up to the hype.

The Katsu Chicken Burger has its own fanbase, too, thanks to the crispy breading, juicy chicken, and just enough spice to keep it interesting.

Pro Tip: Skip the car since parking’s a nightmare around here.
