Top 8 Instagrammable Restaurants in Singapore That’ll Feed Your Eyes Before Your Stomach

I still remember when restaurants used to be simple. They had good food, plain tables, and maybe a few framed photos if the owner felt fancy.

These days, restaurants are practically designed with Instagram in mind. It’s funny because I used to think people went out just to eat, but now I see diners shifting their plates or standing up to get the perfect shot.

I can’t even blame them—when a place looks that good, you want to remember it. And since there are now so many stunning options across the island, it can be hard to decide where to start.

To save you the scrolling and searching, here are my top picks for the most Instagrammable restaurants in Singapore.

1. Q Classified

Must-order: Dutch Baby Pancake with Red Ruby

Q Classified on Orchard Road will have you surrounded by soft, pink florals and elegant décor that gives off total Parisian-chic and Audrey Hepburn vibes.

Their food is just as put-together as everything around you, and the Dutch Baby Pancake with Red Ruby is definitely a must-try.

It’s light and slightly crisp on the edges, served with sweet toppings and a scoop of coconut ice cream that melts over the warm pancake.

I liked that the coconut flavour isn’t too strong. I kept telling myself “just one more bite” until I realised that the plate was already empty.

I also loved their Truffle Fries—crispy, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned with that rich truffle flavour.

Pro Tip: Drop by just before closing; pastries often go for 2-for-1, and cakes at 50% off for takeaway.

2. Joji’s Diner

Hours: Open 24/7

Must-order: Smash Burger

Like a time capsule from 1950s America, Joji’s Diner greets you with neon lights, black-and-white checkered floors, and gleaming chrome accents.

The lively retro vibe sets the perfect stage for their hearty comfort food, which feels just as classic as the setting.

Their Chicken & Waffles are a great example—fried chicken paired with a fluffy waffle and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg, all brought together by their signature sauce. It’s indulgent, but pretty balanced.

I even got their burger, which was loaded with a juicy patty, melted cheese, and toasted buns. To top it off, it was served with a pile of curly fries on the side; the Smash Burger easily lived up to its name.

I also really liked the salad—the strawberry-tinged dressing was a surprising touch that worked really well.

Pro Tip: Expect a wait, especially for indoor seating; outdoor tables for two may open up faster.

3. Cavern

Must-order: Caveman’s Meat Skewer

Inspired by the Mulu Caves, Cavern takes their theme very seriously. They’ve got textured rock-like walls and warm lighting that gives the space a mysterious, earthy glow.

Starting off strong, we have the Hunter’s Board. The platter comes loaded with beef, pork, chicken, and prawns, each served with its own sauce—two of which pack a nice spicy kick.

And with 200 grams of beef tenderloin, the Caveman’s Meat Skewer is another showstopper; it’s meaty and grilled to perfection with mushrooms and shallots, brought with a bright chimichurri.

I had it with their Cavern-Made Iced Lemon Tea that cut perfectly through the richness of the meal.

Pro Tip: Call to book a reservation, then follow up closer to your visit. They handle a high volume of diners, and things can easily get overlooked.

4. KOMA

  • Friday – 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM; 5 PM to 12 AM

Must-order: Crispy Chicken

Hidden within Marina Bay Sands, Koma invites you in through a torii-gate tunnel that feels almost cinematic. Inside, the space unfolds into a moody, temple-like setting with a contemporary flair.

One of the dishes that immediately caught my attention was the Crispy Chicken. It comes with a golden cornflake crust that gives a good crunch, while the meat inside stays tender.

Then there’s the Truffle Fried Rice, like comfort food reimagined. The grains are fluffy, and the truffle paste gives the rice this deep, earthy flavour.

To end on a high note, the bonsai-inspired dessert is as charming as it is delicious. Presented like a miniature potted plant, it hides layers of chocolate mouse and crunchy bits that come together in every spoonful.

Pro Tip: Enhance your meal with a pour from their sake list or signature cocktails.

5. Afterwit

Hours: Daily – 12 PM to 10 PM

Must-order: Taco Platter

Afterwit is a cheerful Mexican taqueria tucked away in Kampong Glam, and it’s hard not to feel instantly lifted when you dine here. The bright walls and bold patterns make it a wonderful neighbourhood spot you’d go to chill out with friends.

If you’re like me and can never decide what to order, the Taco Platter is the way to go. You get to sample five different types, all served on freshly hand-pressed corn tortillas with a skirt of melted mozzarella.

And you can’t leave without trying their Mockgaritas. I went for the Tabasco Mango, and it was tangy, with just a little kick of heat from the Tabasco.

Pro Tip: Don’t risk walking in; secure a reservation in advance.

6. Fiasco

Must-order: Pão de Queijo

Fiasco transitions from a laid-back brunch café during the day to a chic gastro-bar once evening falls. Whether you’re stopping by for a relaxed lunch or lingering over wine at night, this food spot can fit any mood.

Moving on to the meals, the Steak Frites is a signature dish of theirs, featuring a tender Argentinian striploin served with a fragrant Cambodian red pepper sauce.

The triple-cooked chips on the side are perfectly crisp; they’re so addictive that you’ll probably find yourself finishing them even when you thought you were done.

If you’re after something lighter, the Pão de Queijo, or Brazilian cheese bread, makes a great starter. Each piece is airy and chewy, paired with their rotating “sauce of the week,” offering a new flavour to look forward to each visit.

Pro Tip: Browse their wine list before you go; it’s extensive and worth planning your pairing.

7. Little Social

Must-order: Nasi Ulam

Set inside a 1920s pre-war conservation shophouse, this private home-dining spot offers an intimate taste of authentic Peranakan cuisine.

The area itself is a visual treat—antique furniture, ornate chandeliers, and vibrant textiles come together to create a nostalgic warmth that matches the stories behind the dishes.

Chef Danial draws inspiration from his grandmother’s recipes, so every meal is like a tribute to tradition.

I got to taste the Nasi Ulam, made with turmeric basmati rice and a medley of finely chopped herbs; I thought it was really light and not overwhelming at all.

I was also recommended the Beef Rendang, slow-cooked until the beef shin turns tender and infused with coconut milk and even more herbs. I felt that the dish filled the room with its scent long before it reached my plate.

Pro Tip: For an atmospheric evening, book a private dinner. The lighting at night transforms the space into something more vibrant!

8. IL Clay Pizzeria

  • Monday to Thursday – 12 PM to 2:30 PM; 5:30 PM to 11 PM
  • Friday – 12 PM to 2:30 PM; 5:30 PM to 2 AM
  • Saturday – 11:30 AM to 1 AM
  • Sunday – 11:30 AM to 11 PM

Must-order: Six Cheese & Honey Pizza

IL Clay Pizzeria isn’t your average pizza spot; it’s equal parts restaurant and experience.

The entrance alone, designed like a giant oven door, sets the mood for what’s inside: a modern space that feels alive with warmth and energy, especially once evening rolls in.

Led by Naples-born chef Ciro Sorrentino, who’s been recognised on 50TopPizza, the restaurant takes pride in authentic Neapolitan-style pizza done with flair.

I suggest ordering the Six Stars Pizza. It’s pretty simple with San Marzano tomato sauce and burrata, topped with mortadella and some cherry tomatoes.

I even tried the Six Cheese & Honey Pizza, and it completely won me over. It’s a mix of mascarpone, mozzarella fior di latte, and more cheese I couldn’t possibly pronounce, all layered into creamy, savoury harmony, balanced by a drizzle of truffle honey.

Pro Tip: Head over for dinner on a Monday if you’re looking for a quieter crowd.
