Nursing Rooms in Singapore: A Guide for On-the-Go Moms

Being a mom to a baby that is under a year old can be difficult. Fortunately, Singapore is a child-friendly place that offers plenty of facilities to help mothers take care of their little ones.

One such facility that you will find in Singapore is the nursing rooms. From my experience, almost every mall in Singapore has a designated nursing room where mothers can breastfeed or use a breast pump.

I find these facilities helpful for me as a mother since it gives me a private area where I can take care of my baby. The tools like the breast pump, diaper dispensers, changing stations, and sinks also help me in providing my baby’s needs.

After having been to hundreds of different nursing rooms across Singapore, I decided to compile a list of the best rooms that offer everything you need to take care of your baby.

Top Nursing Rooms in Singapore

There are plenty of nursing rooms that you can find in public places around Singapore. However, the ones I will provide below are some of the best based on the availability of baby-rearing and breastfeeding tools.

Aperia Mall
10:00 AM to 10:00 PMAccommodates up to 2 strollers– Electrical point
– Waiting area
– Sink
– Changing stations

The Aperia nursing room is one of the most beautifully decorated nursing rooms I’ve been to. It has colorful wallpapers with cartoon designs and a wooden interior accented by green cushions.

From what I can observe, this nursing room is very clean and has the necessary amenities to take care of your baby, including a breastfeeding station separated by curtains, three diaper changing stations, and a sink.

To access this room, you need to have a key card, which you can get from the customer service counter. This may be inconvenient to some, but I think it adds to the security of the place.

Somerset

Name LocationOpening Hours Size What to Expect
Somerset Level B3, 1, and 5 @ Somerset, 313 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238895

10:00 AM to 10:00 PMAccommodates up to 4 strollers– Electrical point
– Waiting area
– Sink
– Changing stations
– Child-friendly toilet
– Water dispenser

The nursing room in Somerset is a clean and safe place to take care of your baby. This place has everything you need from changing stations to hot & cold water dispensers.

I find the decorations here pleasing to the eye since they keep things simple with wallpaper featuring childish doodles. I also love the fact that there is a child-friendly toilet where toddlers can take care of their business with little to no assistance.

One more thing that I appreciate about this nursing room is that it’s big enough to accommodate four strollers or a mother and baby pair.

Ang Mo Kio Hub

Ang Mo Kio Hub Level 3, AMK Hub, 53 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, Singapore 569933
AMK Hub
10:00 AM to 10:00 PMAccommodates up to 4 strollers– Electrical point
– Sink
– Changing stations
– Water dispenser

This nursing room in Ang Mo Kio Hub is a clean, simple, and well-decorated place. It has some amenities that you can use like a hot water dispenser, sink, changing room, electrical point, and breastfeeding area.

The room is relatively clean and perfect for taking care of your baby’s needs. It’s also safe since you can only enter the room by pressing the button on the telecom right beside the nursing room door.

I find the room big enough to accommodate at least 3 strollers at a time. The only thing I don’t like about this nursing room is that it has no waiting area.

Anchorpoint

Anchorpoint Shopping Center Level B1 & 1, Anchorpoint Shopping Center, 370 Alexandra Rd, Singapore 159953
Anchorpoint Shopping Centre
7:30 AM to 1:00 AMAccommodates up to 4 strollers– Sink
– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Waiting area
– Electrical point

The nursing room in Anchorpoint is a large and beautifully decorated area that comes with all your basic needs for breastfeeding and diaper changing. You will find a dispenser and electrical points that you can use for your breast pump.

I think that it has good security since you can only access the room by pushing the call button on the telecom by the door. The only thing that needs to be improved about this place is the breastfeeding room.

It can get a bit stuffy inside the cubicle since the staff tried to fit furniture that is too big for the room. Other than that, this place is perfect for nursing your baby.

Bedok Mall

Bedok Mall Level B1, Bedok Mall, 311 New Upper Changi Rd, Singapore 467360
Bedok Mall
10:00 AM to 10:00 PMAccommodates up to 4 strollers– Sink
– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Waiting area
– Electrical point

The nursing room in Bedok Mall is beautifully decorated, well-maintained, and provides adequate amenities.

I would say that this area is secured since it can only be accessed using the telecom by the door. I also appreciate the waiting benches that are perfect if you have company.

Personally, the lighting in this room hurts my eyes since it gives off too much yellow. If you’re okay with that, then this would be a good room to take care of your child’s needs.

The Centrepoint

Name LocationOpening Hours Size What to Expect
The Centrepoint Level 3 & 6, The Centrepoint, 176 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238843
The Centrepoint
10:00 AM to 10:00 PMAccommodates more than 2 strollers– Sink
– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Waiting area
– Electrical point

In my opinion, this is the best-decorated nursing room I’ve been to. It features vibrant colors that are toned down by the wood and grey accents of the area, which is quite pleasing to the eye.

I also love how spacious it is, especially the breastfeeding zone. You can comfortably breastfeed your baby in a clean, cushioned chair and place your breast pump equipment on the table placed inside the same area.

Aside from the breastfeeding room, there is also a huge diaper changing station with a sink and soap dispenser nearby. A waiting bench is also available for your companions

– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Electrical point

I find this place minimally decorated with sparse amenities. It’s clean and well-maintained, but it doesn’t look as vibrant and engaging to children as the previous rooms I mentioned in this blog.

There is also no waiting area for your companion, but other than that, this room is a great place for taking care of your baby.

– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Electrical point
– Disposable diaper dispenser

This nursing room in Changi Airport Terminal 3 is clean and nicely decorated. It also has all the necessary amenities you would need to take care of your baby’s needs.

One thing I love about this area is the disposable diaper dispenser. It’s very convenient, especially if you’re not carrying a diaper around with you.

The size of this room is quite average since it can only accommodate 1 stroller at a time. However, I find it okay since there are many nursing areas available across the terminal so you don’t have to compete with other parents.

This nursing area is a clean place that features a simple set of decorations. What I like about it is its spacious breastfeeding room with a comfortable chair and table.

The amenities are also provided, including a water dispenser, sink, and electrical points. I only wish that there is a waiting area.

9:00 AM to 5:30 PMAccommodates only 1 stroller– Sink
– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Electrical point
– Bar fridge

This nursing room in Civil Service College doesn’t have much when it comes to decoration, but it has all the necessary amenities including a bar fridge where you can store your expressed milk.

You can only access this room by requesting the key from the customer service counter. Since there is only one room with limited accommodation, you might need to wait before it is available for you to use.

To lessen your inconvenience, I suggest requesting the customer service officer to give you a call once the room is available. This way, you don’t have to wait around in a line.

I love the decorations in this nursing area. It looks very vibrant, clean, and pleasing to the eye.

It has all the basic amenities from hot & cold water dispensers to a waiting area. It’s also quite spacious and can accommodate more than two strollers at a time.

10:00 AM to 9:00 PMAccommodates more than 2 strollers  – Sink
– Hot & cold water dispensers

The nursing room in the Great World City is clean, colorful, beautiful, and spacious. I really love the color and design of this area, especially the placement of the amenities.

The sink and the dispenser are conveniently close to the diaper-changing area. It’s only a shame that there are no waiting rooms here for when you have company with you.

– Hot & cold water dispensers
– Electrical point

This room is very simple and has all the basic amenities you need to take care of your baby. It seems a little too simple for me, especially with its white and beige color scheme, but other than that, I love the design and ambiance of this place.

It does lack a waiting room, but that’s okay. I appreciate the spacious breastfeeding area and the comfortable couch Harbourfront Centre has for the moms.

BHG Bugis

BHG Bugis    Level 3, BHG Bugis, 200 Victoria Street #01-100, #02-17 & #03-11, Singapore 188021
BHG Bugis Junction
10:00 AM to 10:00 PMAccommodates more than 2 strollers  – Sink
– Hot & cold water dispensers

This room in BHG Bugis is clean and decorated almost like a spa. It’s also spacious enough to accommodate multiple strollers at a time.

What I don’t like about this nursing room is the lack of amenities. The only thing it can offer is the sink, breastfeeding room, changing room, and water dispenser.

I also think that the curtain partition for the breastfeeding room is not good enough. Someone can easily open the curtain while you are feeding your baby.

There is also only one nursing station, so you must wait for your turn. The lack of an electrical point also makes pumping milk difficult if not impossible.

I would recommend this place to moms who directly breastfeed their child but I don’t think it would be the best place for people who use breast pumps.
