How to Get to River Wonders Singapore

River Wonders Singapore is located on Mandai Lake Road, directly across from Singapore Zoo. 

You can get there via public transportation (bus shuttle or MRT) or ride a private vehicle.

Whether you prefer public transit or a private car ride, below is the detailed direction to getting you to this popular destination.

Via Public Transportation

To get to River Wonders Singapore via public transportation, hop on the nearest station, the Khatib MRT, on the North-South Line. It will cost around $1.

From there, you can hop on the connecting Mandai Khatib Shuttle Bus, which will take you directly to your destination.

Note that buses come every 10 minutes during operation hours and every 20 minutes between 11 pm and 12 am, depending on traffic.

Via Private Vehicle

If you plan to go to River Wonders via private transportation, drive onto the Seletar Expressway (SLE) or the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE). Depending on your starting point, these roads lead directly to your destination.

As you approach River Wonders, follow the signs and directions to the main entrance. Ample parking spaces are available there, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Operating Hours

River Wonders Singapore is open daily from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm; the last entry is at 6:00 pm. 

For rides to the Amazon River Quest, the opening hours are from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, same with Amazonia Encounters.

Meanwhile, The Giant Panda Forest’s operating hours start at 10:00 am – 6:15 pm.

Although this is the official operating hours, it’s still advisable to check the official website for any important announcements or changes to the schedule.

Ticketing Options

You may purchase tickets to the River Wonders online. Visit its website and look for the “Tickets” or “Select Tickets” section.

If you prefer to buy tickets in person, you can visit the ticket counter at the entrance of the engagement site—open during the park’s operating hours.

However, please note that there might be queues, especially during peak periods. Early arrival is advisable to avoid long wait times.

Amazon Flooded Forest

Picture this: As you enter the Amazon Flooded Forest, you’ll be welcomed by the vibrant sights, captivating sounds, and lush green surroundings surrounding you. Isn’t it magnificent that you’re almost one with nature?

But this isn’t just an exhibit—it’s an immersive experience that will transport you to the mystical world of the Amazon Forest.

You’ll be greeted everywhere you turn by towering trees, exotic plants, and an abundance of life teeming around you.

But what truly sets this exhibit apart is what lies beneath the surface. You’ll see the graceful manatees’ captivating movements as they navigate their aquatic home.

Amazon River Quest

Although this sounds similar to the Amazon Flooded Forest adventure, this one represents a different trip. 

A fascinating open-top boat excursion called Amazon River Quest was created to mimic a trip down the Amazon River. Passengers may see various flora and fauna during the ride.

Since this imitates the actual Amazon Rainforest, you’ll also probably encounter fearsome animals like jaguars, tigers, and anacondas.

You can see even more animals up close on this 10-minute boat ride, which requires advance online ticket purchase. These include Red Howler monkeys, tapirs, a giant anteater, a capybara, and many more.

There can also be other surprises that await you as you navigate the river.

Safety reminders for elderly and pregnant women: The River Wonders Boat ride contains mild rocking, elevation changes, and moderate acceleration.

Your children must be at least 1.06 meters tall for the boat journey, and an adult or guardian must accompany children between 1.06 and 1.35 meters.

Kai Kai and Jia Jia, are the park’s star attractions. These two adorable adult pandas are the parents of baby panda Le Le.

A little trivia about this panda family: Baby panda Le Le’s parents first arrived in River Wonders in September 2012. These pandas’ playful antics and cuddly appearances will surely melt your heart! 

You can observe them as they play, eat bamboo, and lounge around in their specially designed-habitat.

Isn’t witnessing their daily routines and learning about their conservation efforts heartwarming?

However, some safety precautions must be taken when visiting the Squirrel Monkey Forest. This is to safeguard both the monkeys’ and your own safety:

1. Respect the Squirrel Monkeys.

Squirrel monkeys are wild animals that must be treated respectfully and observed at a safe distance.

Touching, chasing, or attempting to feed the monkeys might interrupt their natural behavior and potentially endanger both parties.

2. Stay on designated trails.

When exploring the Squirrel Monkey Forest, please stay in your lane and follow the park staff’s directions. This helps safeguard the monkeys’ habitat and reduces disruptions to their surroundings.

3. Do not bring food.

Monkeys are curious creatures who may try to steal objects from visitors, causing injury to themselves or others. Keep your valuables secure and food packs safely put away.

Mama Panda Kitchen is more than simply a restaurant; it’s a culinary experience. This dining place is filled with warmth, compassion, and the spirit of the park’s giant pandas.

In my opinion, this can be one of the top-tier fine dining places (row 189 fine dining singapore) because of its cozy and friendly ambiance that evokes a panda’s embrace.

There are also bamboo accents, earthy tones, and whimsical panda-themed motifs. This will surely catch your eye instantly because it perfectly compliments the delectable treats to come.

Each dish served in this restaurant is a work of art—expertly cooked by outstanding chefs who understand the complexities of Chinese cuisine.

Souvenirs and Shopping

No visit to River Wonders Singapore is complete without bringing home memorabilia. This attraction boasts an array of gift shops and boutiques.

You can find various souvenirs, including plush toys and apparel. Some shops in there sell eco-friendly products.
