  • Pioneer restaurant
  • Impressive selection of fried chicken

  • Large servings
  • Open til late at night

  • Pricey

Kko Kko Na Ra is a Korean restaurant that features a variety of different types of fried chicken, such as original crispy, yangnyum, soy garlic, spicy garlic, and more.

It also serves other popular Korean dishes such as budaejjigae and kimchi jjigae.

Most of the restaurant’s recipes are from Madam Lee’s Jeon La Do, which is one of the famous provinces known for making the best dishes in Korea. The authenticity of Kko Kko Na Ra’s recipes sets it apart from its competitors.

We love Kko Kko Na Ra’s garlic soy sauce chicken. Its sauce is made of hand-crushed garlic and the other secret ingredients were imported from Korea.

The preparation of the sauce takes long hours to make sure that the taste of garlic would be evident when it spreads through the fried chicken.

We respect this effort and appreciate how the people behind the restaurant want to stay true to the recipe.

This is the best-selling fried chicken and has become the signature dish of the company, followed by kimchi jjigae, army stew, seafood pancake, and watermelon soju.

The restaurant’s large servings, the fact that it’s open until late at night, and the authentic Korean ingredients are among its strengths. However, it can be pricey.

Oven & Fried Chicken (OFC) is a popular Korean fried chicken restaurant that opened in Singapore in October 2014. The restaurant is the combined brand of two popular chicken restaurants in Korea, Okkudak and Ssaldak.

Okkudak is known for its unique preparation of chicken through baking without using oil, while Ssaldak is known for its unique chicken coating of rice flour, instead of wheat flour.

At OFC, customers can expect to find a variety of different types of fried chicken, such as fried rice chicken, yogurt salad chicken, boneless chicken, chicken wings, yang nyeon chicken, sauced jambalaya chicken, sauced soy chicken, and more.

One of its strengths is its use of fresh Korean ingredients in its dishes. The chefs here also offer a range of Asian and Western fusion options, which is a nice departure from the traditional Korean fare.

The servings are large, which makes it a great option for sharing with friends or family. The location of the restaurant is also convenient, being located in the heart of the city.

However, OFC can be pricey and the hours of operation can be complicated, which could be a drawback for some customers.

Overall, this restaurant is a great option for those looking for authentic Korean fried chicken with a unique twist.

Jinjja Chicken is a trendy Korean chain restaurant that is known for its Korean Fried Chicken and Jjajangmyeon. The restaurant is inspired by South Korea’s rich food culture and its “pali-pali” culture of speed.

This means that it serves up classic Korean dishes such as bibimbap and seafood jjamppong, as well as urban Korean street food like tteokbokki, kimbap, bulgogi burger, and of course, different styles of Korean fried chicken.

We love how it replicates not just the dishes but also the preparation methods of traditional Korean cuisine.

It sources its ingredients and recipes from all over Korea and uses only 100% fresh chicken for its signature Korean Fried Chicken Wings.

The Korean fried chicken options are offered in a variety of flavors including soy garlic, Yangyeom, and the Monster.

The soy garlic flavor is a sweet and savory sauce that is vegan-friendly, the Yangyeom flavor is made with a secret recipe from South Korea and is sweet, and sticky, and the monster is an incredibly spicy chicken perfect for those looking for a challenge.

JJinja Chicken currently has outlets in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. If you’re looking for a casual, trendy spot to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine, this spot is a great option to consider.

  • Fusion flavors
  • Fresh and high-quality ingredients

  • Can be crowded during peak hours
  • Pricey

Chir Chir is a well-known Seoul-based Korean fried chicken chain.

It opened its first Singaporean location in February 2015, and it has immediately become a popular spot for residents searching for their fill of Korean fried chicken.

Chir Chir is distinct in that it specializes on the “chimaek” culture, which combines fried chicken and cool beer.

We love that customers can expect to find a variety of different types of fried chicken, including cripy fried chicken, honey butter chicken, garlic roasted chicken, and more.

The fried chicken is made with fresh chicken and covered in proprietary South Korean sauces such as soy garlic and spicy sauces. Hot plate dakgalbi and topokki, both popular Korean meals, are also available here.

We are blown away by how authentic its fried chicken is. We are also impressed by the moistness of the chicken breast meat, which is not often the case with fried chicken.

However, we have to mention that the restaurant can be steep when it comes to its menu items. Luckily, the portions are big and perfect for sharing.

It’s also important to note that because of Chir Chir’s popularity, the restaurant can get quite busy, and it’s recommended to make a reservation in advance.

  • Impressive selection
  • Other dishes compliment chicken selection
  • Buffet options
  • Knowledgable service crew

  • Pricey
  • Can be loud during peak hours

Woorinara is a cozy Korean restaurant located in Singapore. The atmosphere is authentically Korean and the service is prompt.

We appreciate how its Korean fried chicken is very tender and well-marinated. The two most popular flavors are the soy garlic and cheese fried chicken.

Banchan or side dishes are also available to complement the chicken dishes. There’s also the army stew, which is another delicious option worth mentioning because it’s a great starter with layers of spicy flavor.

In addition to the fried chicken, the restaurant also offers a variety of other dishes such as kimchi jiggae, which is a delectable but not too sour twist on the popular kimchi.

The service at Woorinara is fast and the staff, while young, is professional and courteous. They are able to handle the crowd well and have a good memory for requests.

Overall, Woorinara is a great place to eat and drink, with an impressive selection of dishes, complimentary side dishes, and buffet options.

We love how customers have the option to buy smaller portions or go all-in with the buffet.

However, the rates here can be on the pricey side and the restaurant can get loud during peak hours.

Despite this, Woorinara is a great option for those looking for authentic Korean fried chicken and other food items that can complement the popular dish.
