Novotel Living Orchard offers a variety of services, but the rooftop pool is what truly sets it apart. From the moment you step onto the top floor, you can feel the difference.
The pool offers panoramic views of the surrounding Orchard area, which immensely adds to the appeal of a refreshing swim or lounging session in the Singapore sun.
The pool area is well-maintained, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to cleanliness. This allowed us to enjoy the relaxing environment without concerns about hygiene or comfort.
Another thing we want to highlight is the temperature-controlled water. It made our dip pleasant regardless of the weather, which can be a big bonus during warmer days.
For such a wonderful experience, we’re surprised at how affordable the accommodation is. But do note that the pool is not that spacious, which makes the space feel somewhat constrained, especially during peak hours.

- Affordable accommodation
Cons
- Space may feel constrained during peak hours

Pool ideal for swimming exercises
“I rent one month a two bedrooms apartment. There are goods beds, good bathrooms and plenty of closets. There is room cleaning service 3 times a week. There are good tv appliance. I really like the pool which is long enough to do swimming exercise. There is also a nice gym. The common area is good with free flow of coffee and tea. On the downside there is washing machine for clothes but no dishwasher. The kitchen is not very well furnished to do a lot of cooking( eg no many types of pots ect..) but has a rice machine. The living room might be small for a big family of four. Overall novotel is very nice property and good price.”

Well-maintained pool with ample towels and loungers
“We stayed in one of the three bedroom apartments, the apartment was much larger than expected, and had all of the amenities for our week stay. The staff were all excellent and friendly, in some incidences they went over and above. The pool and pool area were also good with plenty of pool towels and loungers. If returning to Singapore with the family we would not hesitate to return.”

One Farrer Hotel’s rooftop pool is a feast for the senses with its sleek design and panoramic views of the Singapore skyline.
The pool area itself has ambient mood lighting and is temperature-controlled, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere to enjoy a relaxing swim.
We particularly like the concierge service by the pool; attendants anticipated our needs, often bringing fresh towels or a cool drink just as the thought crossed our mind.
Such attentiveness added a layer of luxury to our entire experience, which made us feel well taken care of.
However, it’s not all limitless swimming. The pool’s size is impressive, but the area available to guests can feel a bit compact, particularly when parts are sectioned off for safety reasons.
If you dream of sprawling waters and ample room for exploration, this may be a slight disappointment.
Pros
- Sleek pool design with Singapore skyline views
- Ambient mood lighting in the pool area
- Temperature-controlled pool
- Pool concierge service
Cons
- Reduced available swimming space
- Pool compact at times
Huge, inviting swimming pool with excellent facilities
“Came here for a workout and pool session with the class pass. Wonderful facilities and a huge swimming pool. I’m sure the rooms and service is great too. Next time I’d like to try and stay at this hotel for a couple of nights.”

Private pool offering serene moments and great night views
“I stayed in this hotel with my family. All the staff were very friendly and solved our requirements right away. Our room is on the 19th floor, and there is a private swimming pool right downstairs, so I had a happy time with my daughter while watching the great night view in the middle of nowhere. If I come to Singapore again, I will stay in this hotel. I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff.”

The moment we stepped onto the rooftop, we were greeted by the sleek pool with crystal-clear waters that beckoned us for a refreshing swim.
One of the things we noticed was how well-maintained the pool area was— clean and inviting, with staff ensuring the deck was in pristine condition. They made sure we got to relax and unwind in a hygienic and pleasant environment.
However, it’s not all sunshine. While the pool size is adequate for leisure swims, those looking to do serious laps might find it a bit limiting.
Also, during peak sunny hours, the limited shaded areas can be a tad uncomfortable. You might have to time your dips to avoid the midday heat or hope for a breezy day.
Pros

- Offers Singapore skyline views
Cons

Convenient and well-equipped hotel with excellent facilities
“An Ideal and Practical Place to Stay in Singapore I recently stayed at this convenient and practical hotel in Singapore, and it exceeded my expectations. The room we booked had a window and a small kitchenette equipped with a mini fridge, sink, microwave, and kettle—perfect for our needs! The room’s size was just right—not too small and not too big—and the design was impeccable. It featured a small table, shelves, and a wardrobe for storing clothes and items, making our stay comfortable and organized. The hotel offers an array of facilities that cater to every need: a swimming pool, a laundrette, a kitchen, a lounge with sofas, a studio perfect for working, free wifi, and a 24-hour reception. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city.
Housekeeping comes in on alternate days to do a full clean, ensuring that the room is always in top condition. Additionally, the hotel is structured as a sustainable property, which is a significant plus. This place is perfect for everyone, from business travelers to families. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a convenient and well-equipped place to stay in Singapore!”

Her commitment to guest satisfaction significantly enhanced my experience, making this hotel a top choice for anyone seeking comfort and convenience in Singapore.”

Finding a swimming spot that combines panoramic views with top-notch amenities is a challenge, but Hotel Indigo’s rooftop pool delivers exactly that.
Our visit was seamless from the moment we stepped in, with the staff ensuring our comfort and answering questions with ease.
The pool and its surroundings were impeccably maintained, from the crystal-clear water to the meticulously arranged lounge chairs. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance our enjoyment.
We were even surprised to leave the pool without noticing a single item, not even our tiniest accessories, out of place or damaged, which instilled a sense of trust and security.
While not the most budget-friendly option for a rooftop pool experience, this hotel’s rooftop pricing reflects the premium experience they offer.
However, bear in mind that certain amenities might incur additional charges, which is something to consider when you’re planning a visit.
Pros
- Well-maintained pool and surroundings
- Guest belongings are secure
- Offers panoramic views
- Neatly arranged lounge chairs
Cons
- Pool area is occasionally in the shadow of nearby buildings

Spotless rooms, unique design, and infinity pool with impressive views
“This was our first time at Indigo and we stayed for two nights. Loved the design of the rooms (Peranakan style). Despite the colors, it looks classy and not tacky. Cleanliness is 5/5. I always check countertops for dust and bathroom tiles for grime and grout. Nada. Spotless! I appreciate that the toilet and the shower/bathtub areas are separate. Toilet also has a bidet. Wish all hotels did this.
Customer service: 5/5 as the staff were friendly and always greeted us with a genuine smile whenever we walked past reception.
Location: A 10-min walk from the famous Peranakan houses and a shopping mall adjacent. However, it is quite far from any MRT station so you’ll need to take a bus. Finally, the infinity pool is worth checking out. So glad we stayed here instead of Marina Bay Sands because for the same price, there you only get a regular room with no view and no bathtub. At Indigo, you get a bathtub with larger space and breakfast.
Note: walls a slightly thin. Our next door neighbour’s alarm went off at 6AM and we could hear it.”

Clean, modern, friendly with great breakfast and rooftop infinity pool
“Very nice hotel, clean, friendly staff und nice modern style. The infinity pool on the roof is great to relax after or before sightseeing. It’s a bit out of the main sightseeing points but ok. Katong is nice to explore with the little restaurants- feels more authentic and not so touristically. Breakfast was delicious!! What I enjoyed very much were the water gym und cycling classes in the pool. I was lucky enough to find out about the aqua sports class by chance on our first day because I was in the pool at 8am for a swim. What luck! I really enjoyed the classes offered by The Ripple Club! Great start into the day. I was lucky that the classes were offered for free that week. I went there every morning. The courses should be promoted more in the hotel. If I had not discovered it by chance I wouldn’t have known about it. That would have been a shame.”

Dipping into the waters of the Marina Bay Sands’ rooftop infinity pool, you’re not just swimming; you’re floating high above Singapore, basking in unparalleled views of the city’s skyline.
Nestled 57 floors above ground, this world-renowned architectural marvel stretches longer than the Eiffel Tower laid down. It’s the largest of its kind, making your laps feel like a journey across a floating cityscape.
We think they did such a great job at maintaining the pool; the water was just the right temperature, which provided us with a refreshing dip without the shock of cold.
But this paradise comes with its caveats. The exclusivity of the pool means it’s only accessible to hotel guests, which adds an air of privacy and prestige but can be a letdown for those wishing to visit without booking a stay.
The pool’s popularity also means it can get quite crowded, especially during peak travel seasons.
Pros
- View of Singapore skyline
- Largest pool
- Well-maintained pool
- Ideal water temperature
Cons
- Certain pool area is restricted
- Limits access to hotel guests only
- Crowded during peak travel seasons
Exceptional service, stunning views
“One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The service was great, the breakfast was delicious, and the room was beautiful. A highlight was the view from our room, which looked out on the Gardens By the Bay so we were able to watch the nightly light show from our balcony. The hotel is also in a great location, very close to lots of shops and restaurants. Oh, and I guess there is a nice infinity pool on the roof, but you probably already know about that. 🙂”

Unparalleled luxury and service
“My recent stay at the iconic Marina Bay Sands in Singapore was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was thoroughly impressed by the level of service and attention to detail that the resort provided. One of the highlights of my stay was the unexpected room upgrade I received, which afforded me breathtaking views of the Singapore skyline and Marina Bay. Being able to wake up and enjoy the stunning vistas each morning was truly a treat. Swimming in the infinity pool was an experience I’ll never forget. What really sets Marina Bay Sands apart, though, was the exceptional level of service. The resort provided me with temporary cards that allowed me to access the swimming pool and reserve time slots for the shower facilities, even after I had checked out. This thoughtful touch ensured that I could continue to enjoy the resort’s amenities on my final day, without any hassle.I cannot recommend Marina Bay Sands highly enough. Whether you’re visiting Singapore for business or leisure, this iconic resort offers an unparalleled blend of luxury, service, and unforgettable experiences. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated.”
