Powerhouse is a Singapore-based brand that makes karaoke systems for people who take their home setups seriously. It’s not your average plug-and-play box – this feels closer to a real KTV lounge. 

The store layout makes it easy to try things out, and once I did, the system really delivered. Sound was clear, the mic response was smooth, and the controls were straightforward. 

What stood out most was the song library. It’s packed, updated often, and includes multiple languages, even Romanized lyrics. Plus, the lifetime updates come at no extra cost.

The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the unit’s design – I wished it looked a little sleeker.

The staff needs to be commended, too. They were helpful and quick to respond, even during holidays. Just a heads-up: support is only available in Singapore, which might matter if you’re taking your unit overseas.

And while it’s a solid system, it’s definitely on the pricier side.

As soon as you step into the showroom, you get the sense that they know what they’re doing. The staff is warm and welcoming – no pushy sales talk – and they let you try everything, from full speaker systems to wireless mics, in a proper setup. 

Once you hear the karaoke system in action, it’s clear this isn’t your average home system. The sound is deep and crisp, with enough power to fill a room easily, whether you’re hosting a full-on karaoke night or belting out ballads. 

The downside, though, is that MB Karaoke systems are not the cheapest options on the market – they’re definitely an investment. Plus, you’ll also need a bit of space at home to set everything up comfortably, especially since the system includes various components like a mixer, speakers, and microphones that work best when strategically arranged with some breathing room.

Even though they don’t look bulky or high-powered at first, the sound of these consoles can carry well in a regular-sized space. The audio comes through clearly and strongly, without the weird echo or distortion some smaller systems have. 

Connecting it to apps like Smule or YouTube is pretty straightforward. No complicated steps – you just plug it in, turn it on, and it’s ready to go. The controls are simple enough that you don’t really need a guide. Plus, the wireless mics work well and pick up vocals clearly. 

Everything stays pretty compact. You won’t have wires running all over or random boxes to figure out – it keeps things neat. Good if you just want something that works without messing around too much.

Setup takes barely any time. The sound is clear, and the wireless mics do the job without any fuss. You also get a pretty decent song selection with tracks in all sorts of languages – great for family use or mixed households. 

The service is commendable, too. The support service is based in Singapore, and the staff will actually pick up when you call.

The only catch? Their karaoke systems lean on the pricier side, especially for a compact setup.  And if you’re after advanced features like vocal effects or pitch control, they might feel a little too simple.
