Top 8 Marriage Counseling Services in Singapore
How we picked
Expertise
Seeking counselling with your partner often pipelines into a counselling session for other related issues, so we looked for counselling centres that also specialise in family-aligned issues as well.
Approach & Professionalism
Each counselling service has its own individual approach to communication and providing support. We selected counselling services that we think will treat your troubles delicately and professionally.
Affordability
Counselling isn’t a cheap service and most of the time, each session only lasts an hour. We rounded up counselling centres that either offer hour-long sessions for an affordable price or budget-friendly packages.
Client Satisfaction
Clients seek counsellors for a listening ear, so of course, we listened to their voices as well. We selected counselling centres that consistently made their clients feel taken care of.

Pros
- Community-based support and service
- Caters to young couples
- Provides services in English and Mandarin
- Affordable fees
- Five accessible branches
Cons
- Closed on Sundays
- Customer service may be mediocre
Among our entries in this list, Care Corner Counselling Centre stands out as a community-based counselling service.
Founded in 1981 as class struggles were exacerbating, Care Corner made it a mission to provide care to every corner of Singapore, especially to underprivileged families.
As a community service provider, Care Corner doesn’t have a specific paradigm it follows in counselling, unlike private institutions. However, its drive puts heavy emphasis on providing support for its clients.
In fact, it’s exactly because it’s a community-based institution that we believe its strongest suit to be the inherently supportive environment it was established in, especially for transnational couples.
Aside from its transnational services, it also concentrates its services in providing counselling services for young couples — as young as 18 to 24!
It raises awareness on topics such as practical early marriages without shunning these young couples. That’s not to say it only accommodates them.
Instead, what’s available for young couples are also accessible for married couples at different stages of life — especially couples who are considering divorce or separation.
As a public organisation that aims to bridge the public and government, Care Corner offers extremely affordable rates for its programs.
Although as a social service organisation, it’s bound to have the same shortcomings as any social service provider.
You might find it hard to reach at times or its staff might seem to be in a rush to assist you. Nevertheless, if you’re patient with its customer service, it guarantees to provide patient services, too.
We obviously recommend Care Corner to young couples — especially young newly wed couples — looking for guidance on their marriage life moving forward.
It also doesn’t matter whether you only speak English or Mandarin — Care Corner has staff specialising in either!
Additionally, Care Corner has grown into a large family, so it has five active branches you can visit for counselling, although it’s mostly closed over the weekends.

Pros
- Empathic and harmonious approach to counselling
- Focuses on healing individual traumas
- Comes up with mutually beneficial solutions for couples
- Affordable 75-minute rates
Cons
- Rates may get pricier during peak season
- Unclear when peak season is
- Closed on Sundays
The Relationship Room centres itself on rebuilding ruptures in relationships and making room for a happier, healthier progress.
When it comes to couples — or even entire families — and uprooting their troubles, we look to its communal approach for harmony.
The Relationship Room focuses on healing from past experiences, putting an emphasis on soothing past traumas to empower the future. It deals with troubled individuals and couples alike with this approach.
If you’re someone who believes that overcoming troubled waters can be done in a way that benefits all parties, we think you’ll work best with The Relationship Room.
It takes care to listen to both parties in order to design a mutually beneficial solution.
In fact, The Relationship Room’s founder and counselling director — Ms. Theresa Pong — makes sure to create an emotionally supportive environment to meet the client’s needs.
This is The Relationship Room’s trademark ethic.
Clients who have worked with this provider would often describe its counsellors as warm and attentive people.
Furthermore, its counsellors are experienced in handling drastic marital issues such as infidelity and extramarital affairs.
While these topics are harsh, The Relationship Room takes careful measures to approach it with therapeutic methods.
If what you’re looking for in marriage counselling is a balanced approach that will help you understand your partner better and vice versa, we suggest sitting down with The Relationship Room for an appointment.
Its basic fees are one of the most affordable in the market and are bundled to be 75 minutes long for couples.
Although we do note that booking an appointment during its peak season means paying a couple extra cash.
On top of that, it’s closed on Sundays and only runs until 3 PM on Saturdays, and 6 PM on Mondays.
If you’re looking to engage it for a counselling session, we suggest booking an appointment on a weekday instead to avoid further client traffic.

Pros
- Pragmatic and intercultural-inspired approaches
- Tackles sensitive topics
- Offers counselling packages valid within a specific timeframe
- Accommodates post-office hours sessions
- 24/7 online portal
Cons
- Fees on the pricier scale
- Sessions run for only 50 minutes
Sometimes the best way to approach an emotional problem is through pragmatic methods.
All in the Family Counselling Centre underscores this by coming up with solutions inspired by different theories and methodologies.
Its head counsellor — Ms. Tammy Fontana — combines her global experience with that of local Singaporean familiarity in order to construct realistic resolutions for clients.
As such, we look to All in the Family Counselling for a wider and more logical perspective.
Whatever conflict you’re facing as a married couple, you can trust this provider to carve a sensible path to guide you out of it.
In line with its practical approach to conflicts, All in the Family Counselling doesn’t shy away from delving into more sensitive topics for couples, such as intimacy and sexuality.
It faces these topics with a culturally sensitive eye, too, building a safe and comfortable space for couples to talk about their concerns regarding these issues.
For a cultural hotpot like Singapore, where these topics can be considered taboo, we highly value its effort to raise awareness about these topics while still enforcing pre-existing cultural boundaries.
In terms of fees, however, a regular 50-minute counselling session with this firm falls into the pricier scale. However, it offers counselling packages with a fixed number of sessions within a certain timeframe.
Its regular counselling hours run from Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. However, All in the Family Counselling can accommodate post-office hours counselling sessions at an additional charge.
It also has an online portal that’s available 24/7, although we note that it is more responsive through WhatsApp.
Overall, we recommend All in the Family Counselling Centre for couples who are looking for a level-headed approach to their troubles, and want to tackle their situation from all possible angles.

Pros
- Person-centred and strength-based approach
- Positive influence on individual outlooks
- Provides services in English and Mandarin
Cons
- Rates are fairly pricey
- Closed on Sundays
The primary lesson that ReSTART Counselling for Wellness wants to impart on its clients is that life is dynamic.
It’s normal to feel elated one day and then destitute the next — this is how ReSTART underlines balance in life.
This rounded outlook on life is why we chose to include it in our list. As a counselling service, it centres its philosophy on maintaining balance, focus, and strength.
ReSTART aims to inspire its clients to change perspectives whenever they’re faced with life’s difficulties. This applies to everyone in its clientele — whether individual or couple.
This is perfect especially for married couples who are starting to face the mundanity of domestic life and are doubting whether the romantic sparks between parties are still there.
ReSTART can help you look at your relationship from a new perspective.
It claims this approach to be a person-centred and strength-based strategy, which we have to give it credit for.
This positive approach to providing solutions not only proves efficient, it also comforts the clients immensely.
Which is exactly what ReSTART is aiming for: to build a happier self for its clients!
As a bonus point, it can also provide services in both English and Mandarin.
ReSTART charges its clients by the hour, and an hour-long session has an average upper-scale price.
Additionally, it has 3 available counselling sites you can visit for your appointments, though all of them are closed on Sundays.
Although its Saturday hours are shorter than its regular hours, it fares well against its competitors.
If you’re planning to book a Saturday appointment with its counsellor, you wouldn’t have to worry about crunching for a slot.
All in all, we recommend engaging ReSTART, especially if you’re a newly wedded or a young couple adjusting to the mundanity of a domestic life.

Pros
- Family-oriented approach to counselling
- Free informative resources on several topics, accessible via blog
- Highly affordable rates
- Offers post-office hours counselling sessions
Cons
- Closed during weekends
- Religion-centred philosophies
Focus on the Family Singapore is a Christian charity institution that — as its name suggests — focuses on the family as the core to a healthy life and even healthier relationships.
As a matter of fact, it aims to nourish modern families with modern outlooks, encouraging its clientele — especially youths — to be future-ready individuals.
As an organisation that concentrates its philosophy on family values, Focus on the Family also tackles an exhaustive list of issues both in family, marriages, and relationships in general.
Despite it being a Christian organisation, it approaches sensitive topics such as sexual intimacy, extramarital affairs, abuse of any kind, and even identity issues all with a broad perspective.
In line with its filial approach, it takes care not to alienate its clients from their own issues.
Furthermore, Focus on the Family boasts a broad affiliation network featuring 12 global organisations driven by the same mission.
It uses this as a resource for its informative materials, some of which are free to access via its blog.
And since it’s a charity organisation, it goes without saying that its rates are friendlier than other counselling institutions in the market.
On top of that, it offers post-office hours counselling services, although this is limited to an extension of only one hour.
Additionally, it’s closed on both Saturdays and Sundays.
On another note, we’d like to underscore the fact that, despite its heartening approach, Focus on the Family is a religious organisation at the very core.
Individuals and couples who are sensitive to different religious ideologies might not find its services as helpful.
But if you don’t mind these ideologies — or if you’re a Christian yourself — we recommend Focus on the Family for a family-oriented counsel to help you build a healthier relationship with members of your and your partner’s family.
