The first time I heard about Mewtants and Woofs, I thought the name was a joke—until I saw their Instagram. Scruffy dogs went in and came out looking like they belonged in a commercial.

Other than the basics like ear cleaning and nail trimming, they offer extras like tartar removal and even a mud spa treatment, which apparently helps with skin health and odor.

Their team is patient, especially with anxious or fussy pups. If your dog has a habit of snapping at the clippers, they do charge an extra fee for handling, but at least you know they’re prepared. 

Just so you know, their waiting times can get long, so booking ahead is smart. 

And if you don’t want to spend the whole day just sitting around, they also offer transport. So drop your dog off, run your errands, then pick them up looking fresh—maybe even fresher than you.

“This was our first time sending our Silky Terriers to dog boarding since relocating to Singapore, and Mewtants & Woofs were simply fantastic! They showed us photos and videos of the boarding rooms beforehand, and sent us photos and videos of our furbabies almost every day during the 1-week boarding period. We could see that they were having a great time going on walkies, chilling out, and generally being very well taken care of, which really helped ease our separation anxiety as pawrents so that we could enjoy our holiday overseas. One of our furbabies needs to be given eyedrops three times a day, and Mewtants & Woofs were able to provide that level of care as well. We arranged to have our furbabies groomed before bringing them home, and they were gifted fancy CNY collars and bandanas as well! We have heard so many horror stories with other dog grooming & dog boarding places in Singapore, but Mewtants & Woofs is definitely not one of those. Fursclass takes a different approach to dog grooming—no cages, no stress, and plenty of space for dogs to relax. Instead of being locked up between sessions, they get to roam, play, and even people-watch through the glass walls. 

The basic grooming covers the usual—nail clipping, ear cleaning, and fur trimming—while full grooming adds a professional haircut. They also check for ticks and offer spa treatments if your dog needs extra pampering. 

Prices are fair for the level of attention given, and they keep owners updated throughout the session, so there’s no guessing how things are going.

The downside? Customers have mentioned to us that while the grooming is efficient, cleanliness could be improved. 

And if you’re on the west side of Singapore, expect a long trip—many wish they had a second location closer to home.

“This grooming salon is great! Definitely one of the better ones we have tried. The location is very convenient, centrally. And if we wait in the area there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes to chill at. I love that the salon is set up in a very efficient way. The big glass window in front is excellent for peeking in to see our dog. And the front area is secure so that dogs cannot run out of the salon. The groomers are all very nice and attentive. There have only been a few small instances with nail cutting, but otherwise the overall grooming services are great. They’re also very quick, if we get just very basic grooming they are done in under 30 minutes. Their spa services are also great, and they take lots of videos so you can see your dog enjoying their treatments. You can also see how much care the groomers take when bathing pets. They are gentle and that’s great for pets that are scared of bathing. We’ve been quite a few times now and every time has been a pleasant and smooth experience. Will keep returning in future”
