  • 2-minute walk from the Aft Kreta Ayer Road bus stop
  • Was awarded 1 Michelin star in 2016
  • Authentic French cuisine
  • Intimate and cozy ambiance
  • Prompt services
  • Ideal for healthy options
  • Good choice for vegetarians

  • Hard to book reservations
  • Queues may be longer than most restaurants
  • Limited menu options
  • Expensive menu

Rhubarb Le Restaurant is situated in Duxton Hill, which is a 2-minute walk from the Aft Kreta Ayer Road bus stop. In 2016, it was awarded 1 Michelin star, a feat most restaurants are envious of.

It is a good choice if you don’t mind spending extra on authentic French cuisine. It is a relatively small eatery that is well-known for elevating familiar dishes but at a premium cost.

If you’re looking for a more affordable set lunch, we suggest looking at our other entries on this list.

We genuinely mean it when we say that the establishment is small. Rhubarb’s dining room features just seven tables, which makes for a quiet, pleasant, and cozy dining experience.

Since the cooks are just making food for a small number of people, there are no delays in service.

The best factor in having a small dining establishment is that each customer receives individualized attention. All requests are met with prompt action by the servers.

Having said that, booking reservations are pretty tricky. We suggest booking at least a week in advance to make sure you secure a slot in this well-renowned restaurant.

As customers wait for their food to come, they can observe the chefs at work in the open kitchen. This gives it a great atmosphere of professionalism, and it’s also quite entertaining too!

Chef Paul, who is in charge of Rhubarb’s culinary staff, has a particular affinity for French food.

You may choose between a three or four-course meal for set lunches, both of which have a strong emphasis on fruits and vegetables.

If you’re a vegetarian searching for some traditional French cooking and an intimate ambiance, Rhubarb is a must!

  • 3-minute stroll from the Tong Eng Building bus stop
  • Has a Michellin star
  • Contemporary French cuisine
  • Affordable
  • Head chef has international experience

  • Customer service needs improvement
  • Changes menu without prior notice

Lerouy is found in Amoy Street. It is just a 3-minute stroll from the Tong Eng Building bus stop.

It is another Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore that serves contemporary takes on traditional French cuisine. Unlike other establishments, it has its modern twist.

Lerouy, the restaurant’s head chef, is also in charge of the kitchen staff. He is a well-known French chef from Alsace, France, and has experience working in some of the best restaurants in Abu Dhabi, Marrakech, Los Angeles, and Shanghai.

His international experience is what keeps this restaurant’s menu very playful in flavors and concepts.

Additionally, it boasts an open-kitchen layout that keeps customers entertained while they wait for their meals. After receiving your order, you can watch as skilled and knowledgeable chefs create your lunch.

The set lunch menus at Lerouy are subject to change. Every meal will be different.

Every month, customers can sample a different menu of French cuisine and have a much different experience.

This may not be ideal for those who want a restaurant that consistently serves their favorite dish. However, it may be an exciting idea for those who always want to try something new.

Some customers also had a problem with the place because they were not ready to have them seated even though they already had a prior reservation. This may be because Lerouy’s staff is relatively smaller than other establishments.

Compared to other restaurants that offer French cuisine, this is most definitely more affordable. However, we are a bit concerned about the feedback regarding its customer service.

Be that as it may, Lerouy is a good option for those seeking exciting flavors that break the traditional mold. People who want to try something new will find their experience here to be rewarding.

  • 4-minute walk from The Regent S’pore bus stop
  • Specializes in Indian fusion cuisine
  • Diverse menu
  • Fresh and organic ingredients
  • Good pricing
  • Great ambiance
  • Has healthy options

  • Vegan meals take a while to make
  • Vegan meals are expensive

Yantra is found inside Tanglin Mall. It is just a 4-minute walk from The Regent S’pore bus stop.

In Singapore, there are many Indian eateries, but Yantra is one of the few that offers a superb dining experience.

Indian food is served in various ways at Yantra, balancing traditional and contemporary tastes.

It’s also fantastic for vegetarians and anyone who values their health, which is really nice since most people these days are becoming more health-conscious.

Additionally, fresh and organic ingredients are always used to prepare every meal.

For its lunch and dinner menus, it offers both a la carte and set meals, which is great news whether you’re watching your weight or if you want to indulge.

Yantra’s menu offers more vegan options, which is another difference we observed.

However, keep in mind that vegan meals are more expensive than conventional ones, and the serving time may take a little longer too.

Be that as it may, we like that it has a diverse menu that can provide meals for those who are either working on a budget or those who want to spend a little more.

Yantra’s magnificent design and delicious Indian fusion food are some things we found to be remarkable. The harmony of the ambiance with the dishes is really spot on.

The restaurant is spacious, with large tables and plush velvet sofas, and it features art hangings that depict India’s ancient civilizations. We really felt like we were transported to another place.

  • More than 20 locations in Singapore
  • Diverse western cuisine options
  • Has vegetarian and vegan offerings
  • Big portions

  • Lacks options for vegan food
  • Vegan and plant-based meat are more expensive

Common Grill by COLLIN’S is situated in Membina Court, which is a 5-minute walk from the Block 25b bus stop.

It is one of Singapore’s most well-liked dining establishments. The customers that we interviewed loved that they could grab the restaurant’s best-selling items at any of its 20 locations scattered over the island.

Common Grill is the ideal destination for those who love Western cuisine. The set lunch menu offers various options, including salads, pasta, seafood meals, hamburgers, pizza, and more.

Even though the place also has vegan options, these are not as diverse as its regular menu. However, the restaurant is more well-liked by meat eaters.

If you are looking for an establishment with better vegan offerings, we recommend checking out other entries on this list.

Common Grill’s collaboration with the Vegetarian Butcher also enables it to introduce more plant-based dishes to its menus, resulting in an extensive selection of wholesome and delectable vegetarian meals.

Having said that, this specialty menu is significantly more expensive than its usual offerings. Nonetheless, we like that the restaurant has a little something for everybody.

In general, Common Grill by COLLIN’S is the best place for big eaters. Its set lunch meals are definitely for those who have an insatiable appetite.

Compared to other establishments, this restaurant has a much more relaxed ambiance that’s ideal for a more casual event.
