Rhubarb Le Restaurant is situated in Duxton Hill, which is a 2-minute walk from the Aft Kreta Ayer Road bus stop. In 2016, it was awarded 1 Michelin star, a feat most restaurants are envious of.
It is a good choice if you don’t mind spending extra on authentic French cuisine. It is a relatively small eatery that is well-known for elevating familiar dishes but at a premium cost.
If you’re looking for a more affordable set lunch, we suggest looking at our other entries on this list.
We genuinely mean it when we say that the establishment is small. Rhubarb’s dining room features just seven tables, which makes for a quiet, pleasant, and cozy dining experience.
Since the cooks are just making food for a small number of people, there are no delays in service.
The best factor in having a small dining establishment is that each customer receives individualized attention. All requests are met with prompt action by the servers.
Having said that, booking reservations are pretty tricky. We suggest booking at least a week in advance to make sure you secure a slot in this well-renowned restaurant.
As customers wait for their food to come, they can observe the chefs at work in the open kitchen. This gives it a great atmosphere of professionalism, and it’s also quite entertaining too!
Chef Paul, who is in charge of Rhubarb’s culinary staff, has a particular affinity for French food.
You may choose between a three or four-course meal for set lunches, both of which have a strong emphasis on fruits and vegetables.
If you’re a vegetarian searching for some traditional French cooking and an intimate ambiance, Rhubarb is a must!

- Head chef has international experience
Cons

Lerouy is found in Amoy Street. It is just a 3-minute stroll from the Tong Eng Building bus stop.
It is another Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore that serves contemporary takes on traditional French cuisine. Unlike other establishments, it has its modern twist.
Lerouy, the restaurant’s head chef, is also in charge of the kitchen staff. He is a well-known French chef from Alsace, France, and has experience working in some of the best restaurants in Abu Dhabi, Marrakech, Los Angeles, and Shanghai.
His international experience is what keeps this restaurant’s menu very playful in flavors and concepts.
Additionally, it boasts an open-kitchen layout that keeps customers entertained while they wait for their meals. After receiving your order, you can watch as skilled and knowledgeable chefs create your lunch.
The set lunch menus at Lerouy are subject to change. Every meal will be different.
Every month, customers can sample a different menu of French cuisine and have a much different experience.
This may not be ideal for those who want a restaurant that consistently serves their favorite dish. However, it may be an exciting idea for those who always want to try something new.
Some customers also had a problem with the place because they were not ready to have them seated even though they already had a prior reservation. This may be because Lerouy’s staff is relatively smaller than other establishments.
Compared to other restaurants that offer French cuisine, this is most definitely more affordable. However, we are a bit concerned about the feedback regarding its customer service.
Be that as it may, Lerouy is a good option for those seeking exciting flavors that break the traditional mold. People who want to try something new will find their experience here to be rewarding.

Yantra’s magnificent design and delicious Indian fusion food are some things we found to be remarkable. The harmony of the ambiance with the dishes is really spot on.
