If you’re looking for a great dim sum restaurant in Singapore with signature dishes, Yan’s cuisine is full of traditional tastes of Chinese cooking at its best and is definitely worth a try.

It has plenty of dim sum options from the classic steamed fresh prawn dumplings to the crowd-favorite xiao long bao. It also offers fried options for those customers who want a more decadent flavor.

Additionally, the classic appearance of the restaurant enhances the dining experience, making diners feel like lavish patrons of a bygone era.

Yan Restaurant also has a wide range of porridge combinations in addition to its own dim sum menu. Moreover, the restaurant can be rented for weddings and other special occasions.

The place is big and there’s adequate seating for everyone here. We also want to highlight the excellent customer service where the servers were very attentive to our needs and even gave out some recommendations based on our palates.

The only downside we gathered is that it’s relatively more expensive here than in other restaurants. We also waited a bit long for our orders, which is reasonable since it is serving plenty of customers on a regular basis.

The diverse cooking methods and preparations it does make it the ideal destination for those who want to try dumplings with different textures and flavors.

Every dish served at this restaurant is made from scratch using only the best ingredients. Having said that, we practiced patience while waiting for our orders because it took relatively longer than its competitors.

On the bright side, it was worth the wait because the experience was great and the variety of dim sum we had was cooked using different techniques. The taste is very unique compared to other dumpling restaurants.

We also want to highlight that Dim Sum Haus will give you a 25% discount on your orders if you decide to shop online. It’s worth considering since the menu is a bit expensive.

Dim Sum Wen Dao Shi is located in Geylang. It is just a 2-minute walk from the Bef Sims Avenue bus stop.

This restaurant is open 24/7, making it the most accessible entry on this list. Those craving Chinese dim sum now have a viable option to go whenever they want!

This dim sum restaurant has been serving since 1985! It’s the best place to go if you are looking for old-school and traditional flavors that have stood the test of time.

A dish you must try is Prawn Dumpling Soup with fresh vegetables. The meal is perfectly prepared, with a hot and savory broth that is made with real meat bones and fresh seasoning.

It also has an assortment of side dishes like the best-selling Shark Fin Dumpling or the fried Soon Kueh. For those who want a more decadent option, you need to try its deep-fried Prawn Dim Sum with a zesty mayonnaise-based dip.

The customer service here is very good and the food arrived on time too.

We also like that its menu is relatively more affordable than other restaurants. However, due to its popularity and accessibility, Dim Sum Wen Dao Shi is very busy, and since the space is rather small, you may need to wait for a table to be available for you.

The establishment does not take reservations, so make sure to at least call first to know if the restaurant is busy at the hour you intend to arrive.

It’s open daily but is unavailable from 2:30 pm to 6 pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Fridays to Sundays.

With its distinctive Singaporean-style dim sum, Spring Court is one of the most well-known restaurants on this list. It is a high-value dinner at a fair price because each serving is a generous size.

We ordered some of its best-sellers like the Pork BBQ Buns, Pork Siomay Dumplings, and the Hakaw Prawn Dim Sum. The service time took longer than we thought but it was worth the wait.

The restaurant is housed in a four-story structure with classic exterior features, which elevated the overall dining experience. The interior design also has a traditional Chinese architecture feel to it.

This establishment has very courteous and friendly staff. Spring Court also provides a range of services, such as a special menu for weddings.

Pros

  • Just beside the Opp Orchard Station bus stop
  • Open from Monday to Sunday
  • Well-known dim sum restaurant
  • Diverse menu with vegetarian options
  • Large restaurant with plenty of seating

Cons

  • Unavailable between 3 pm to 6 pm on weekdays and 4:30 pm to 6 pm on weekends
  • Service time can take a while

Taste Paradise is situated inside the ION Orchard shopping mall, which is just beside the Opp Orchard Station bus stop. It’s available every day but is on break from 3 pm to 6 pm on weekdays and 4:30 pm to 6 pm on weekends.

With its numerous locations, Taste Paradise is one of the island’s most well-known dim sum restaurants. Due to its accessibility and excellent food, numerous people have named it the best dumpling establishment in Singapore.

Unlike most establishments, this restaurant combines traditional techniques with modern flavors. If you are feeling adventurous with food, we highly recommend trying this place out.

It has one of the most diverse dim sum selections from traditional prawn or pork, to vegetarian options. Customers can choose either a la carte or with noodles.

This restaurant is the largest on this list and has more than enough seating for its patrons. However, the service time is a bit substandard because the food arrived late.

On the bright side, the dishes were indeed delicious, especially the fresh seafood dumplings.

We also noticed that the prices are more expensive than its competitors. If you are looking for more affordable options, we highly suggest checking our other entries on this list.
