If you don’t mind spending more money on authentic French food, Rhubarb is a great option. It is a comparatively small restaurant with a solid reputation for exceptionally tasting dishes at a steep price.

The advantage of having a small restaurant is that each patron gets personalized service. The servers promptly respond to all customer requests.

However, making reservations can be challenging. To ensure that you get a table in this renowned restaurant, we advise making reservations at least a week in advance.

Gunther’s is located in the uptown Purvis Street district, just opposite the Opp National Library bus stop. It is open from Monday to Saturday with regular operating hours.

However, it is unavailable from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm on weekdays. It also opens much later in the afternoon every Saturday.

Gunther’s Restaurant must be your best option if you want to enjoy French cuisine at a fine dining establishment. It’s one of Singapore’s best restaurants that serve contemporary dishes.

Among the many modern meals served at Gunther’s Restaurant are smoked herring salad, foie gras, roasted cod fish, charcoal-grilled steak, and many others. 

Additionally, it has more than 350 bottles of French wine.

It certainly doesn’t fall short when it comes to the interiors either. Customers will be surrounded by opulent decor that will give them the impression that they are dining in the heart of France.

When we interviewed customers, they liked how the servers made them feel comfortable during their stay by always attending to their needs. The food arrives a bit late though.

We like that Gunther’s menu is relatively affordable compared to its competitors. 

If you are looking for a restaurant that serves contemporary French dishes that do not break the bank, this should be at the top of your list.

Bistro Du Vin is found inside the Shaw Center shopping mall. It is only a 2-minute walk from the Royal Plaza On Scotts bus stop. 

This restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday with relatively longer operating hours. Although, take note that it is unavailable between 2 pm to 6 pm. 

Since 2009, Bistro du Vin has served genuine French bistro cuisine to Singaporeans. It offers meals that are best enjoyed with a glass of wine from its extensive bottle selection.

Customers who visit Bistro du Vin will be able to sample French cuisine made from authentic recipes. 

We think its distinctive menu is the main factor in our ranking it as one of the top French restaurants in Singapore. 

Its best-sellers are the classic French Onion Soup, Pork & Black Truffle Pate, and Pan Fried Foie Gras.

The Gnocchi served with winter vegetables is a perfect choice for those who are looking for a healthier option.

We are impressed that Philippe Pau, one of Singapore’s most well-known restaurateurs, is in charge of Bistro Du Vin.  

We do not regret dining here because Philippe guarantees that every patron will have the best possible culinary experience. 

Having said that, it is quite expensive here. However, the wide selection of authentic French dishes and the exceptional customer service makes it worth every penny.

Le Bistrot du Sommelier is situated along Armenian Street. It is a 3-minute walk from the Armenian Church bus stop.

It has standard operating hours and is available from Monday to Saturday. Sadly, the establishment is on break from 2:30 pm to 6 pm.

If you’re in the mood for something upscale and have extra money to spend on food, we urge you to visit Le Bistrot du Sommelier. 

Some of its dishes won’t be cheap because it primarily serves bourgeois cuisine.

Despite this, we promise that every visitor will leave Le Bistrot du Sommelier satisfied because it serves a lot of food. 

Customers may have to wait a little longer for their food because slow cooking is the restaurant’s top priority.

We particularly enjoyed the Oven Roasted French Chicken on Gratin Potatoes and the Pan-Seared Hanger Steak. Le Bistrot also has healthier options such as Smoked Turkey and Lentil Salad.

Birthday parties and business gatherings are among the events that Le Bistrot du Sommelier is willing to host. 

The dining experience is greatly amplified because of the entertaining servers who enthusiastically explain each dish ordered.

Overall, Le Bistrot is one of the premier establishments that serve French cuisine. It is also one of the most expensive restaurants on this list.

Entre-Nous Creperie is found along Seah Street, which is just a 2-minute walk from the Aft Raffles Hotel bus stop. It has a haphazard business schedule and is closed every Monday and Sunday. 

The restaurant is unavailable from 3 pm to 6 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Meanwhile, on Fridays, it is on break from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. 

Since it opened in 2008, Entre-nous has been serving genuine French dishes to Singaporeans. Since then, it has gradually increased its menu by including popular dishes and French-only beverages. 

All of its delicacies, especially the crepes, are prepared in traditional “Biligs” imported from Brittany using flour and salted butter. It is one of the few establishments that still prepare crepes this way. 

It offers buckwheat flour as a gluten-free substitute or another wheat flour base for a sweeter option. 

Additionally, the highest quality ingredients are used to freshly prepare its fillings each day in the restaurant. 

We like that Entre-Nous’ menu is relatively affordable despite its focus on high-quality elements and traditional techniques. Customer service and the ambiance are excellent as well. 

However, it does not have a vast menu compared to other restaurants. We recommend checking our other entries on this list if you want more French dishes while dining.
