In advance of their impressive wellness facilities, guests at Oasia Hotel Novena can indulge in a variety of dining options, each offering unique specialties. 

From the elegant fine dining restaurant to the cozy café offering a selection of artisanal pastries and specialty coffees, there is something to satisfy every palate.

Unfortunately, not all of the lunch alternatives lived up to the expectations of the guests. Some thought the menu was lacking in creativity and variety.

Another minor con is the occasional noise from the nearby hospital, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

What’s keeping us positive about this hotel is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly which will make your stay smooth and enjoyable.

“Had a wonderful stay here with club room access. Would like to commend the staff, esp Jannah from the 22 floor lounge, for the excellent service. The views from the room and lounge area are breathtaking. The room is comfortable and tastefully furnished. If I had to change one thing it would be to have soft-closing toilet lids. “Booked a one night staycay at the Club Room. The staff were really nice and friendly and had reached out to us 2 days before to share with us the facilities to look out for to prepare us for our stay. They went above and beyond to book us a foot massage and arranged a late check-out for us. Check-in was smooth and the room view was great. Aloft Singapore Novena is hands down one of the top picks in the Novena area. It’s a modern hotel with a cool, vibrant vibe that instantly makes you feel welcome the moment you step in. 

Guests often commend the friendly and efficient staff, who genuinely seem to care about making their stay pleasant. 

The hotel offers rooms that are capacious, well decorated, and strike the ideal mix between comfort and elegance. It’s great to have a place that feels like a chic escape right in the heart of the city.

Beyond the impressive rooms, there’s a rooftop pool with stunning city views – perfect for a chill evening or a morning swim. And let’s not forget the well-equipped gym that’s open 24/7, which is a big win for fitness enthusiasts.

On the downside, some guests are slightly disappointed about the breakfast options. They’re decent but not as varied as they hoped.

Most guests think they could use a bit more diversity, especially for longer stays. 

Also, while the location is generally excellent, the surrounding traffic can make it a bit noisy. But what’s keeping us positive is the overall convenience and proximity to public transport and local attractions.

“Fantastic hotel and I highly recommend it. From the first moment we got off our Grab, somebody immediately took care of our luggage and had us wait in a comfortable area. Check in was extremely smooth especially since we were in the other tower, staff took our luggage and showed us the amenities offered. Every single staff member we engaged with during our visit went above and beyond with service. If we had a question they always seemed to have the answer! We needed to exchange currency, needed to do laundry, and use their luggage storage and they made it so easy. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small for us but it worked just fine for a short trip. The area by the hotel had so many shops, restaurants, and food courts, we didn’t need to walk far to get food. I really recommend staying here for the customer service!”

Convenient location and spacious rooms 

“Aloft Hotel Novena boasts a convenient location near multiple bus routes connecting to Orchard Road, making it easily accessible.

With an array of food shops in the vicinity, there  is plenty of dining options.

The west wing offers a more spacious rooms, and the pool is situated in this wing as well.

It’s important to note to check in at the right wing upon arrival. The staff are welcoming and hospitable, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Additionally, the hotel provides a shuttle bus service every 30 minutes to the nearest MRT station. Overall, Aloft Hotel Novena offers great value for money.”

Courtyard by Marriott is a hotel that has garnered a lot of attention for its modern and elegant atmosphere.

Here, guests can enjoy comfortable accommodations with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and contemporary furnishings. Some rooms even have views of the downtown skyline.

Beyond the rooms, the hotel offers a range of amenities to enhance your stay. The rooftop infinity pool, offering a breathtaking view of the city, is especially popular among guests.

Another useful amenity is the fitness center, which offers state-of-the-art exercise equipment, along with a relaxing spa where guests can indulge in various treatments and massages.

There are, however, a couple of areas that could be improved. 

First, while the breakfast is good, guests we spoke with mentioned that the dishes become somewhat repetitive after a few days. 

They also mentioned that the elevators are relatively slow, which can be annoying during peak times.

On the positive side, what truly stands out about this hotel is its connection to the Novena MRT station and the nearby shopping mall. This makes everything accessible, from dining options to transportation, enhancing the overall convenience of your stay.

Value Hotel Thomson is a budget-friendly hotel in Singapore. At SGD 100 per night, it’s quite a steal—you just have to manage your expectations. 

Each room is spotless and pleasant, equipped with all of the necessities such as such as comfortable bedding, modern amenities, and convenient appliances.

According to guests, the beds are surprisingly comfy for a budget hotel. However, due to the modest room size and somewhat thin walls, occasional noise from nearby neighbors can be heard.

Despite the minor inconveniences, the amenities will more than makeup for it.

“We stayed there for 6nights. Rooms and washrooms are small and cozy and very clean, just like any other hotel in Singapore. There is a safety locker, TV with internet connection and a mini fridge in each room. Had a comfortable stay for the week. Breakfast was included and had good options. Tasted well too. There is bus stop at walking distance to get MRT bus to almost everywhere around the city. Pool was also good and well maintained. Room servicing was also good. There is also a branch of Cheers right below the hotel, which is very convenient to get some quick bites, sim cards, travel cards, etc. We’d recommend the hotel for budget friendly stay.”
