Exciting Mix of Culture, Art, Science, and Technology
ArtScience Museum Singapore is a must-visit melting pot where culture, art, science, and technology converge. Consider the museum’s diverse range of exhibits as a portal that invites visitors to explore human creativity.
A great example of this fusion is the ongoing exhibition, “Frida Kahlo: The Life of An Icon”, which you can visit until September 1, 2024.
It shows visitors a peek into the life of the renowned Mexican artist through films, 350-degree projections, interactive displays, photographs, and such, making it a treat for the senses.
Striking Architectural Marvel
Even without going inside ArtScience Museum Singapore, you’ll already be entranced by the beauty it offers.
This iconic structure has painted the Singapore skyline with its lotus-inspired shape, resulting in a unique landmark that beckons even to visitors from afar.
Located along the Singapore River (singapore river walk), it feels similar to a flower floating on the water.
Free Film Screenings at the ArtScience Cinema
A lot of people don’t know this about the Art Science Museum Singapore, but they actually have their very own cinema where they show an eclectic array of films, documentaries, and such.
A few examples of what we’ve had the delight to watch in the past were Her, Lost in Translation, and short films about quantum physics.
Immersive VR Gallery
Looking for the ultimate experience that will sweep you off your feet and right into another dimension? You should try out ArtScience Museum’s VR Gallery.
With the use of state-of-the-art equipment and technology, visitors have the chance to delve into a different world crafted by a selected group of well-known scientists, artists, films, and such without even leaving the museum.
Educational Workshops and Masterclasses
For those who have a thirst for knowledge, a quick visit to the ArtScience Museum might not do the trick.
What you need is to check out the available workshops and masterclasses for a deeper dive into topics beyond what the exhibits provide.
Engaging Talks By Renowned Speakers
Another way to enrich your knowledge during your visit is to attend the talks by renowned speakers.
These engaging sessions provide a space for more in-depth conversations about certain topics, allowing audiences to gain insights from experts in the field.
For example, the Waves of Change Festival is an annual event that aims to spark a deeper love for the oceanic world.
In this exciting talk led by bright kids, attendees will have the chance to watch thought-provoking films, as well as know how to help fight climate change.

We dive deeper into this further below.
How to Get to the ArtScience Museum Singapore
Via MRT
One of the quickest (and cheapest) ways to get to the ArtScience Museum Singapore is by riding the MRT.

The ArtScience Museum should be a quick 7-minute walk after exiting the station.
What to Prepare For Your Visit to ArtScience Museum Singapore
Tickets
Okay, first order of business: tickets. After all, how are you going to see the exhibits without one?
To purchase a ticket to the ArtScience Museum, easily reserve a slot on their website
There’s a ticket available that grants you access to all exhibits, while there’s also one that grants you access to single exhibitions.
The latter is especially handy if there’s only a certain exhibit you want to visit.
Camera
What? A museum that allows photography? You read that right!
ArtScience Museum allows its visitors to take photographs, with a few restrictions, of course. Flash photography, selfie sticks, and tripods aren’t allowed.
What to Keep in Mind For Your Visit to the ArtScience Museum Singapore
Allot at least 2-3 hours
If you want to fully immerse yourself in the exhibits and go around at a nice, relaxed pace, 2 to 3 hours is enough to enjoy your time at the ArtScience Museum Singapore.
This time frame also allows visitors to ponder on the exhibits and engage in interactive exhibits without feeling rushed.
Visit during a weekday morning
If you want to avoid the crowds, it’s best to visit on a weekday morning. This allows you to enjoy the exhibit in a more tranquil space.
Take note that the ArtScience Museum opens at 10 AM.
Ditch the backpack
If you can, we suggest ditching the backpack. Depending on the traffic that day, they might ask you to remove it and carry it instead to avoid inconveniencing other people.
While you can do that, we find it easier to just bring a shoulder bag or a sling bag for a hassle-free experience.
