5 Best Loft Hotels in Singapore That Take Your Stay to New Heights

Pricing: We looked at overall value for money based on room rates, amenities, and location. Hotels with transparent pricing, no excessive add-on charges, and flexible booking options (like free cancellation) were prioritized across different budget levels. Room Design & Comfort: We looked for hotels with well-designed, comfortable spaces, including spacious layouts, high ceilings, and cozy sleeping areas. Bonus points for thoughtful touches like good lighting, workspaces, and quality bedding. Amenities: We considered what’s included beyond the room. Hotels with pools, gyms, communal spaces, in-room kitchenettes, or 24/7 service were rated higher. Accessibility to Wi-Fi, on-site dining, and self-check-in options were also taken into account. Hotel Service: We assessed overall service quality, including staff responsiveness, attention to detail, and guest support throughout the stay. Hotels that offer concierge services, luggage assistance, daily housekeeping, or personalized recommendations were ranked more favorably.

When you’ve got a big family in Singapore, every gathering somehow turns into a mini reunion. Last year, all the cousins decided to stay over after a wedding, and suddenly, we were twelve people trying to figure out where to sleep.

Booking separate rooms felt too disconnected since we all wanted to be together, but the idea of squeezing into one suite? That’s definitely not happening. That’s when someone suggested a loft hotel.

We’d never tried one before, but it was honestly the best call. It gave us enough space to spread out, while still being under one roof—just like home, but with better aircon.

Since then, we’ve started recommending lofts for any big group trip. If you’re also planning for a crowd, here are some of the best loft hotels in Singapore that make group stays feel a lot more fun (and way less stressful).

The Warehouse Hotel is a restored heritage building along the Singapore River, once a spice warehouse in the late 1800s. Today, it’s a boutique hotel that mixes industrial character with contemporary interiors—and yes, it does have loft-style rooms.

I found the Mezzanine rooms especially eye-catching, with double-height ceilings, exposed beams, and a staircase leading up to a cozy sleeping area with a view of the riverfront.

I also noticed how they focus on local culture. Even the minibar is stocked with Singaporean snacks and artisanal drinks, and the in-house restaurant, Po, serves modern versions of familiar dishes like popiah and char siew.

The staff here is warm and attentive, and they’re happy to share tips about the surrounding neighborhood.

As for amenities, there’s no gym or spa, but each room comes with touches like premium toiletries and speakers. Another drawback is that it’s a little pricier compared to similar-sized stays.

Pros

  • Rooms with a river view
  • Strong focus on local culture
  • In-house restaurant
  • Attentive staff
  • In-room amenities

Cons

  • No on-site gym or spa
  • High rates

Very spacious with a beautiful view of the river.

Stayed in a river view loft, which was very spacious with a beautiful view of the river. The bed and pillows were super comfortable too. Spent most of the time in the room listening to music and watching the activities of people along the riverfront. Breakfast was scrumptious with a good choice. It was a good rest after all the CNY preparations.

The service staff were also very attentive.

Enjoyable staycation at the Warehouse Hotel. We had a comfortable loft room on the second floor. The main upside for this hotel is its location – really a stone’s throw away from Robertson Quay and many good cafes and restaurants. We had a great time exploring the surrounding area and eating a the cafes. The service staff were also very attentive. Wonderful stay overall.

Wanderlust, part of The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood, sits in a reimagined 1920s Art Deco building in Little India. The property has also been transformed into a boutique hotel, but with a minimalist aesthetic.

Their Studio Loft rooms are especially popular, with a compact living space on the lower level and soft bedding in the sleeping area. There’s also a shared kitchenette and laundry area for guests, which is handy for longer stays.

On the facilities side, I felt Wanderlust kept it efficient. There are filtered water stations and a lobby coffee machine for a quick caffeine fix.

What makes the stay feel more personal is the service. They’re easygoing and even provide a printed neighborhood guide with their own favorite places to go.

However, the hotel doesn’t have a pool or a full-service restaurant. Plus, some rooms may also feel tight for those used to more spacious layouts.

Pros

  • Soft bedding
  • Self-service amenities
  • Friendly service
  • Great location

Cons

  • No pool or full-service restaurant
  • Small rooms

So spacious and modern in design.

Wanderlust was nothing short of a fantastic experience. Being a small boutique hotel, you would not expect the service of a 5-star hotel. We were greeted with so much warmth and authenticity every time we entered and left the hotel. One can really tell the difference when someone provides hospitality from their heart. Big shoutout to Firdaus, who so patiently helped me through a difficult booking due to a system glitch, attending to me over 3 calls to troubleshoot the issue. The org should count their blessing to have you as their ambassador. The property was so so beautiful, in every little detail. We booked the loft, which was so spacious and modern in design. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the rain shower was so soothing. The hotel also made a commendable effort to be eco-conscious by providing filtered water instead of bottled and not providing room slippers or a bathrobe. The Sri Lankan restaurant housed at level 1 is also seriously good. Do yourself a favour and try it! One of my favourite staycay experience thus far!

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our 3D2N staycay at the hotel’s loft room. Lovely stay and everything, including the cooking utensils, were new and well-maintained. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just a stone’s throw away from Jalan Besar MRT station, which made it convenient to visit the city areas (suntec, MBS, bugis etc). However, note that the ventilation in the room can be pretty bad after cooking, as our bedsheets smelled greasy after that. Stairs up to the bed can be pretty steep, so not recommended if you’re coming with kids/elderly. Tried to request for additional plates (only 2 bowls & 2 plates provided), but we were informed that the hotel does not provide additional foodware. That’s pretty ironic given that there’s a restaurant on the 1st floor though… still had a great stay nevertheless!

M Social Singapore is one of the more playful picks when it comes to loft-style stays. Designed by Philippe Starck, this Robertson Quay hotel is more about bold shapes and high ceilings.

The Loft Gallery and Loft Premier rooms are a bit small but cleverly laid out, with a work or lounge area on the first floor.

While the hotel leans into a self-serve concept, it doesn’t compromise on support. Staff are available when you need them, and the check-in process is quick thanks to user-friendly kiosks.

As for facilities, there’s a small outdoor pool, a decent gym, and an in-house restaurant called Beast & Butterflies that serves up Asian-fusion plates in a stylish setting.

Though I should let you know that the storage is limited—just enough for essentials or a carry-on. Soundproofing can also vary depending on your room’s location, so you might want to pack earplugs just in case.

Pros

  • Quick and easy self-check-in
  • Helpful staff
  • Leisure facilities

Cons

  • Small rooms
  • Limited storage space
  • Inconsistent soundproofing

The place is clean with full amenities, and breakfast is great.

The loft room is so beautiful, simple, and a good use of space. I dream of having a loft like this of my own. The place is clean with full amenities, and breakfast is great. I’m not sure what all the complaints are about. The check-in was a bit slow, I agree, but the staff was polite. Having said that, I went on a weekday. So I guess if you want a good experience, go on a weekday. It’s such a good staycation, I really didn’t want to leave.

The room is really beautiful for photo taking.

Good service and thanks for the complimentary upgrade to a loft premier room. Breakfast is great, and the room is really beautiful for photo taking.

Studio M Hotel Singapore is a familiar name for loft-style stays, especially among younger travelers and staycationers. Located in Robertson Quay, it’s one of the first in Singapore to offer double-level loft rooms.

Each unit features tall windows for plenty of natural light and a lower-level workspace or sofa area. It’s tight but makes smart use of space.

I also noticed the hotel has a decent lap pool, a small gym, and open-air lounge areas that feel relaxing.

Clients I interviewed mentioned how they love the breakfast served at MEMO Café on the ground floor. This spot also doubles as a co-working space during the day.

The front desk staff are friendly too, and check-in usually moves quickly, though don’t expect luxury-level pampering.

One thing to note: the bathrooms are on the tighter side, with separate shower and toilet cubicles that some may find inconvenient.

Pros

  • Efficient service
  • Quick check-in
  • Leisure amenities
  • Friendly staff

Cons

  • Small bathrooms
  • Tight rooms

High ceiling allows so much light to come into the room.

Chic hotel in an area famous for cafes and bars. Love the loft concept. High ceiling allows so much light to come into the room and give a refreshing vibe to it. Space is just right for 2 people. The toilet and shower are too small, I think. But the area for work makes up for it.

Adequate fixtures, services, and facilities.

Great loft hotel with adequate fixtures, services, and facilities. There’s a foreign exchange machine in the lobby if you run out of SGD. The buffet breakfast is also superb. Room cleaning is so spot on.

One of the rarer stays with grandeur and charm is The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.

Transformed from the former General Post Office into a stately neoclassical landmark, the hotel now offers elegant rooms and loft-style suites with views of Marina Bay or the Singapore River.

The Loft Suites, in particular, feature high ceilings, a split-level layout, and a spacious living area below the elevated bedroom.

Guests have also told me that they enjoy the access to a stunning infinity pool overlooking the river, a well-equipped fitness center, and a luxury spa.

I appreciate how there’s a variety of dining options, including the elegant Jade restaurant and The Courtyard for afternoon tea.

Complementing the historic setting is the level of service they provide. Staff are polished and attentive, offering a stress-free experience from check-in to check-out.

That said, the Fullerton leans more into classic luxury, so the rates can climb.

Pros

  • Spacious layouts
  • Luxurious amenities
  • Attentive service

Cons

  • Costly

The hotel loft suite is excellent.

The Fullerton Hotel is one of the most prestigious hotels that I have been to. The ballrooms are exceptionally grand and spacious. The Roof Garden is beautifully lit up, which enhances the atmospheric background. The hotel loft suite is excellent. It is a luxurious stay at the hotel. The hotel staff provides excellent service.

The service is top-notch from a wonderful team.

The Fullerton Hotel is my go-to hotel in Singapore. Beautiful, well-outfitted rooms, comfortable beds, a great location for work and play, and above all, I am so well taken care of whenever I am there. The service is top-notch from a wonderful team, particularly Assistant Front Office Manager Andrew Yip, who is the paragon of excellence in service. Andrew is one of the main reasons why my family and I are loyal guests of the Fullerton and would not consider staying anywhere else in Singapore. The Fullerton is a gem and not to be missed.
