Ever since I heard that celebs like Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston swear by Pilates, I was curious. I mean, if it’s good enough for Black Widow and Rachel Green, it had to be worth a try, right?

Of course, I wasn’t expecting to get the hang of it right away—in fact, after my first session, I felt like a limp, useless noodle. Fast forward a few months, and now, I actually look forward to those slow, controlled movements and sneaky core burners.

I had my awesome Pilates studios to thank for that. Not only do the instructors make Pilates fun, but they also tailor exercises to my own skills and progress.

So, to help you find your flow, I’ve rounded up the best Pilates studios in Singapore. Look (well, at least feel) like a celebrity at these top-notch spots!

Pilates classes here are amazing

“Pilates classes here are amazing. Regine is my trainer and I love her classes. Unlike some of the classes I’ve tried before, Regine teaches me fundamental things like muscle attachments and actions that helped me to understand why certain postures hurt my body while others help. She’s a patient and warm trainer who will surely make you love pilates.” — Katherine Wang, Google Review

Makes pilates much more fun

“I love Pilates Smith! Beautiful studio and great teacher. I always enjoyed my classes with Jonie. She has amazing knowledge and would guide me through all movements to ensure I have the correct posture. She also makes pilates much more fun by introducing a different workout every time I go, with a good mix of flexibility training and toning exercises. I feel so much stronger and actually look forward to my classes each week!” — Thi Thuy Anh Nguyen, Google Review

The Core Reformery was founded by Dira, who has serious credentials in the BASI Pilates method (Pilates for Scoliosis, Injuries, Breast Cancer Recovery, etc).

A unique offering here that other studios don’t have is Prenatal Pilates, designed especially for expecting moms. These sessions focus on gentle, controlled movements that support your body through every trimester.

Private Pilates classes are for those with targeted goals, who love one-on-one instructions, and their Small Group classes are capped at just five people. If you’re lucky, you can snag promos like Unlimited Off-Peak Membership for only $240/month.

And of course, first-timers are given a discounted rate for trial classes. This is great for the undecided ones who are just studio-hopping.

What we didn’t like were the reports about some Pilates instructors who were outright rude to clients.

Pros

  • BASI Pilates method
  • Offers Prenatal Pilates
  • Offers Private Pilates
  • Small Group classes
  • Discounted rate for trial classes
  • Online promos available

Wunderbody Pilates has a mission—to restore both body and mind through Pilates, which doesn’t just focus on physical strength but also mental clarity.

We love their Private Pilates sessions. There’s a clear emphasis on breathwork and mindful movement here, which can really help lower stress levels.

If you have a partner or friend, go for their Duet Classes. These use not only classic reformers but also Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel equipment.

And for those who enjoy group classes, they offer a three-level system: White, Pink, and Orange, each using different props and movement styles. It’s cool that classes are conducted in English, Chinese, and Korean.

Pricing-wise, they offer class bundles, as well as gift cards ($50, $100, and $200) via the Mindbody platform.

Unfortunately, we heard about some sessions that felt a bit rushed.

Luluto is a Physiotherapy-Based Pilates studio, which is pretty unique. The name comes from the Japanese language, reflecting the studio’s mission to guide clients towards body transformation.

They have four clean and bright modern studios across the island, so it’s easy to find one that’s accessible to you.

Maki Takahashi, a certified FTP Mat and Luluto Instructor, leads the Clarke Quay studio. Clients have mentioned her calming yet focused energy, which helps them feel motivated and perform better.

Only one-on-one classes are offered here because they believe this format is three times more effective than group classes. An upside is that every session is tailored to your body’s needs.

Of course, that kind of personal attention comes with a heftier price tag ($180 per session). Note that first-timers could book their trial class first at 65% off, bringing it down to just $35.

  • Has four studios across the island
